Nick Arrington and Preston Mitchum Tease More Fun in Martha’s Vineyard Season 2

Season 2 of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard has returned to Bravo, and according to Preston Mitchum and Nick Arrington, we’re in for a wild ride.

In a chat with Decider, the boys discussed what they most looked forward to when landing in Martha’s Vineyard for their sophomore season. “For me, it was all about maintaining friendships and building upon the friendships that we already had,” Preston said. “I also wanted to truly have a lot of fun. There was more arguments than fun the first time around.”

For Nick, MV’s resident fashion expert, he was ready for a break from the hustle and bustle of life in New York City. “I was just looking forward to unplug and honestly, just laugh. Our group laughs so much to the point where our cheeks hurt. I love those moments. Laughter is good for the soul,” he said.

Nick and Preston touch on Summer and Alex’s relationship, plus Jordan’s relationship with Jasmine…

During the season premiere, Summer Marie Thomas wasted no time checking Alex Tyree over ghosting her several months before. After she revealed to the rest of the group that the pair had been sexually intimate with each other, it sent shockwaves through everybody listening.

“My initial thought was, ‘Really, we doing this now?’ At that point, we hadn’t even been here 12 hours,” Nick stated. “We’d been here six hours. I was like, ‘This is the road we want to go down this [vacation]? Okay, let’s get into it.’ I’m just like, ‘We’re friends, we’re family. If we’re going to talk about it, we might as well talk about it together.'”

The reality stars also discussed Jordan Emanuel’s tension with Jasmine Ellis Cooper. While boating during the second half of Episode 1, the ex-besties chatted about the state of their friendship at the time, with Jordan saying Jasmine broke a little bit of her trust.

“I really understood Jordan’s point,” said Preston. “The perception from a few of us has been that there is a difference with the Jasmine we knew versus the one that we saw during last summer. For some of us, it made us distrust her a little. It was like the person that you’ve always loved was gone.

According to Nick, Jordan and Jasmine should be able to rebuild the friendship they once had. “I think they need to hold on why they become friends in the first place,” he said. “We have those friends that you don’t talk to for a number of years. I went to a historically Black college so homecoming is in my DNA. I might not speak to some people for a whole calendar or two, but when it’s homecoming, it’s like no time has passed. That’s what I want for them.”

New episodes of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard continues on Sundays at 9/8c.
