This May, there’s something for everyone within the reality tv world. In addition to returning shows, there’s something new that might become your next reality obsession. Here are the standouts premiering throughout the month.

Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 – May 2

FX Networks/YouTube

The Emmy award winning docu series returns, albeit a little later than expected. Welcome To Wrexham Season 3’s premiere was pushed back a few weeks from the original start date of April 18th. FX has yet to give a reason for the delay. But previous seasons aired in the Fall of 2022 and 2023, so this is still earlier than usual.

The show follows Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as owners of the Wrexham football club. Though Wrexham AFC is the oldest club in Wales, the team was considered to be cursed before the two actors bought it. That extra spotlight ups the ante to create an ultimate underdog story. It’s a show made for anyone who still misses Ted Lasso. If you want to check it out before the May 2nd start date, the first two seasons are available to stream on Hulu.

New episodes will air on FX and be available to stream on Hulu the next day. The May 2nd premiere will have two back-to-back new episodes. Previous seasons had 18 and 15 episodes, respectively.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 – May 5

Bravo/YouTube

Feeling Real Housewives withdrawal? Don’t worry, the drought will end soon, with the return of The Real Housewives of New Jersey in May. Judging by the Season 14 trailer, there’s tons of drama, and not just between feuding in-laws Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Fans also know that things got so bad between Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral that RHONJ halted filming. Unsurprisingly, Tre’s husband Luis Ruelas continues to display red flags.

RHONJ airs on Bravo Sundays at 8pm ET, and episodes are on Peacock next day.

Love Undercover – May 9

Peacock/YouTube

Peacock already had the most talked about reality show of the year with The Traitors. Could Love Undercover receive the same level of hype? The new series follows five soccer players who take on new identities in an attempt to find love.

In their countries, it’s hard for Jamie O’Hara, Ryan Babel, Lloyd Jones, Marco Fabián and Sebastián Fassi to find genuine love due to their massive fame. So they’ll try their luck in California, amongst 18 women who are told they have so-called “normal” jobs (such as advertising or construction). But hiding their fame proves more difficult than expected. And some of the women start to get suspicious.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars Season 2 – May 22

Can’t get enough of Lisa Vanderpump? The Vanderpump Villa star will appear alongside Gordon Ramsay on the sophomore season of his competition series Food Stars. This is far from the first time LVP and Gordon have collaborated. But now, they’ll be competing against each other. Explaining why he brought Lisa on, Gordon praised her as a “tough, shrewd restaurateur and TV star…a real force in business and true friend. However, make no mistake, the competition will be fierce between us!”

The two TV personalities will form their teams, and attempt to find the next culinary entrepreneur. The winner gets this title and a $250,000 grand prize. While Season 1 filmed in California, Season 2 is set in the UK, aka Lisa and Gordon’s home turf.

The first season of Food Stars was a major hit for Fox, becoming one of the most-watched shows of last summer. Bringing on LVP could boost the ratings even more.

America’s Got Talent Season 19 – May 28

NBC’s long-running competition series returns for Season 19 at the end of May. Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, and Sofia Vergara return as judges, alongside Terry Crews as host. According to Simon, a twist this season is that judges get two golden buzzers instead of one.

New episodes air Tuesdays at 8pm ET. Episodes will also be available to stream on Peacock.

MasterChef: Generations – May 29

There’s a double dose of Gordon Ramsay on reality tv this month! Season 14 of MasterChef premieres a week after Food Stars. The latest season of MasterChef features contestants across multiple generations- Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z. As with other seasons, contestants compete to be named America’s MasterChef, and to win the $250,000 grand prize. New episodes air at 8pm on Wednesdays, and are available to stream next day on Hulu.
