We know Annemarie Wiley is happy about Crystal Kung Minkoff recently-announced Real Housewives of Beverly Hills exit, but what about Kyle Richards?
The Bravo OG discussed the news on her recent Amazon Livestream, saying she has “mixed feelings” about her departure. “Not because of her, just because, I’m like, ‘Yes, it’s probably disappointing, but also, life’s great without reality television.’ It’s not like, ‘Oh, my God, poor Crystal.’ She has a great family, and there is a lot to say for not doing that.”
Crystal, who joined the series in Season 11, told the Bravoverse that being the first Asian American on Beverly Hills was a “blessing” and “an honor.” She continued, thanking the fans and the network for making it possible. “I just wanted to thank you guys for being such an incredible support for me,” she said before teasing new projects. “I have some other things going on that I will be sharing with you soon that I’ll still be able to connect with you because, at the end of the day, that has been my biggest gift of filming this show is connecting with so many of you with your beautiful stories.”
Will Kyle return for RHOBH Season 14?
Crystal and Annemarie aren’t the only diamond holders out of the mix for next season. Kyle, who’s been on the show since day one, also said she’s unsure about her status. When a fan told it looked like she’d be returning, Kyle replied, “Does it?”
“I haven’t said anything yet.” She added that the reports that “I’m not coming back [or] I am coming back” aren’t accurate. “That conversation is actually TBD.”
“It’s not like a deciding factor with the show,” she added. “It’s just, you know, what I need. It just feels so soon for me right now. That’s why it’s hard for me to say at this point, just because of everything that’s going on. And it was a hard season and all.”
Kyle is, of course, referring to her challenging year of marriage to Mauricio Umansky. In addition to battling against him, she fought with her co-stars, especially Sutton Stracke.
Regarding another season, Kyle said it’s something she’d decide when the time comes. “…it’s probably going to be a last-minute one. I’m going to take every minute I need to think about that.”
