Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz seems to have an issue with commitment. He married Katie Maloney but cheated on her. VPR viewers watched their relationship play out on the show. The couple later divorced, and the problems in their marriage were glaringly obvious. Schwartz chose Tom Sandoval over Katie, and never had his wife’s back.
Enter Jo Wenberg. After his split with Katie, Jo and Schwartz had a “situationship.” While Schwartz didn’t want a relationship, behind closed doors, he supposedly behaved differently with Jo. She claimed that they said, “I love you.” Even Katie thought that Schwartz led Jo on, and Katie was hardly Jo’s biggest fan.
So, what is happening in Schwartz’s romantic life now? He has a new lady in his life. Just don’t call her his girlfriend – yet.
Schwartz is dating Sophia Skoro
During his visit to the Taste of Taylor podcast, Schwartz explained more about his relationship with Sophia Skoro. He called Sophia “awesome” and “badass.” But the Pump Rules star also confessed that he’s trying to hold their romance “a little more close to the chest.”
But Schwartz is also “terrified of scaring her away” because of “negative headlines with my name attached to it.” He added, “I’ve got baggage.” Facts.
Still, Schwartz feels like Sophia can handle herself. “She’s like, unflappable,” he stated. And Sophia never watched VPR before meeting Schwartz. “She’s not a fan girl, because I saw that on the internet,” he explained. Well, if they were still speaking, Schwartz could discuss that with Jo. She thought that Schwartz was “dating a fan.”
What is confusing is that Sophia and her reality TV Romeo haven’t made their relationship official. Right now, Schwartz said that he and Sophia are “hangin.'” It seems odd to hear a man in his 40s refer to his relationship in those terms. Schwartz is allergic to commitment. So, let’s hope that he isn’t leading Sophia on like he did with Jo.
