Season 15 of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles is right around the corner, and Tracy Tutor is bracing herself. Last year, she called it quits with her boyfriend, Erik Anderson, and she’s not looking forward to reliving it on TV.
Tracy and Erik started dating in 2020, shortly after she finalized her divorce from Jason Maltas. The relationship raised some eyebrows because of the May-December situation. He’s about twenty years younger than her, and it turns out that massive age gap is what tore them apart.
Tracy opens up about her split from Erik
During a recent chat with Page Six, Tracy got real about her breakup with Erik, who works as a celebrity fitness trainer. She explained that he’s still her “partner in fitness” because she continues to employ him as her trainer. However, his desire to start a family of his own caused their romantic relationship to suffer.
Tracy is 48 and already has two kids. Erik is 27 and wants to start a family. According to Tracy, she knew the time would come when their relationship would stop making sense.
“Because of the big age gap, there is a time that he is obviously going to get to the place where he wants to have children and a family of his own,” Tracy explained.
“We had always talked about [his wanting children] and he was like, ‘But I’m not there yet.’ And so I sort of let that creep down the road probably a little bit longer than I should [have] because I wasn’t willing to face what life looked like without him if that makes sense,” she continued.
Although plenty of time has passed since their breakup in 2023, Tracy predicts that it’s going to be painful for both her and Erik when MDLLA Season 15 starts airing and they have to experience the breakup all over again.
She noted, “I think it’s going to be difficult for both of us to watch and I think he knows how painful it was for me and it was also [painful] for him.”
Regardless of how painful the breakup felt, Tracy clarified that she felt grateful for the “great love” they had. She said he helped her build a healthier lifestyle and predicted that he’ll make a great husband for somebody else someday. Just not her.
Season 15 of Million Dollar Listing premieres Wednesday, July 10, at 9/8c on Bravo.
