Reality Dating Shows have exploded in the last decade with numerous networks and streaming services releasing their own addition to the genre. They’ve become so plentiful that it’s hard to sort out which ones are worth watching. Let’s face it, they are not all winners. If you are looking for a great reality dating show to binge this week, we have you covered.

Here are the best Reality Dating Shows of all time…

Bachelor In Paradise

The Bachelor spinoff Bachelor In Paradise premiered in the summer of 2014 and is still going strong after 9 seasons. The reality dating show features a group of singles from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette as they search for love on the sandy beaches of “Paradise,” also known as the Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico.

BIP has produced several successful couples. Additionally, some even got married and had children. Far more happy couples have come from Paradise than The Bachelor and Bachelorette, which isn’t surprising. Also, the men and women on BIP aren’t vying for the attention of one person. They have options. While there is still a rose component to the show, it feels way less like a competition. It’s basically more lighthearted and fun. The show offers the perfect platform to bring back big personalities and villains from previous shows. It also brings back fan favorites who may have narrowly missed out on being the Bachelor or Bachelorette.

Are You the One?

Are You the One? premiered on MTV in 2014. The show casts singles who are trying to find “the one.” Before filming, the contestants take a compatibility test that determines who they are the most compatible with. This information is kept private from the contestants. Once they get into the villa, the race to find “the one” begins. If all the contestants find their perfect match, they are rewarded with $1 million. The competition element of the game makes the show so fun and the drama is always top-notch. AYTO ended in 2019 after its 8th season. It was later revived by Paramount+ in 2022.

Love on the Spectrum

Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum captured fans’ hearts in the spring of 2022. The series celebrated its second season in January 2024. The series focuses on a group of people on the autism spectrum as they navigate dating. The show is heartwarming, compelling, and a joy to watch.

Love Island

Love Island has become a franchise. The show originated in the UK but has since expanded to the United States. The show’s format is similar to most dating shows. Producers cast a group of hot people to hang out in a villa and date. What makes the series unique is how often it airs. The show releases six episodes a week. It is quite a commitment to keep up with the show but that doesn’t bother the devoted fans who tune in every night.

Love is Blind

In 2020, Netflix introduced a dating show with a unique premise. Love is Blind frames itself as a “social experiment” that tests if two people can really fall in love sight unseen. The contestants engage in a kind of speed dating with a wall separating themselves from the person they are talking to. If all goes well, they get engaged. From there, the couple put their love to the test. They go on a honeymoon, move in together, and also plan a wedding. Consequently, some couples even get married. The premise of the show may seem odd, but it has a surprisingly high success rate. Eight of the ten couples that said “I do” are still married today.

FBoy Island/Lovers and Liars

FBoy Island premiered in 2021 on the CW. The series, hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, cast three women to sift through an array of “f-boys” to find a nice guy. If they end up with a nice guy, they split a $100,000 cash prize. If they accidentally choose a f-boy, half of the prize pot might be stolen from them. The series was rebranded as Lovers & Liars for the new season, which features three men in the lead position. The men must decipher which ladies are there for the right reasons.
