It’s always hard being the new girl on the block, so I feel for Katie Ginella on Real Housewives of Orange County. However, due to her overeagerness to call Heather Dubrow out, she alienated her only friend, Gina Kirschenheiter, in the process.

Katie Ginella vs. Heather Dubrow

During the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Katie and Heather got into a bit of a tiff. Luckily, the newbie was allowed to keep the Dom Perignon champagne as a parting gift. Katie spoke openly at girls’ night out about knowing that Heather had orchestrated photos to be taken of her and Terry Dubrow while at Disneyland. Most of the women assumed this had happened, but none felt the need to sign their own death warrant by going after Fancy Pants.

But the golfer doubled down, telling Heather, “I know you lied.” Sadly, not even her favorite food, a hot dog, could walk the mother of four back from the ledge. Heather went to swear on her children that she never hired a pap to film her. But Katie came with receipts. Allegedly. At the end of the episode, producers showed the text, which read, “Settle this for me. Did Heather Dubrow call paps to come take pics of her and her husband in public?” The one-word response from her source was “Yes.” Needless to say, the lady’s day didn’t end well and had Gina squarely in the middle.

Gina Kirschenheiter might need a break

From the moment the allegation left Katie’s mouth while at the bar, Gina was uncomfortable. During her confessional, Gina revealed that she was miffed at Katie for putting her in such a tough spot because she was the one who brought her on the series. Not to mention Gina has been working her Long Island butt off to make amends with Heather. Gina spoke with Us Weekly, saying, “I have a friendship with Katie at this point, but I don’t have a hundred percent trust. I think Katie knows that and understands that.” The 40-year-old went on to say, “I’m not really one to just throw away friendships. Like, I will move through them and work through them.”

Gina just might take a major step back to see if she can trust Katie. For Gina, the fallout was like watching a multi-car pile-up. The mother of three revealed, “It’s so hard to watch. I just watched the episode, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m scared.’ It’s hard to watch. And it’s kind of scary just for Katie. I’m like, ‘You’re really barking up a redwood here.’ It was ambitious of her, and I give her credit for that. But, it also was hard because they were both my friends, so I kind of got caught in it.”

RHOC viewers can already see the tension rising between Heather and Katie. Gina even hinted “There are also certain decisions that Katie made that were very surprising to me, and it didn’t bode well with me. So I don’t really know what all of that was about.” But like us Gina is invested in the outcome sharing, “I’m actually interested to watch it as well and see what was actually happening when I wasn’t there. To this day, some of it I just still simply don’t understand.”

Luckily, she still has Emily Simpson as her ride-or-die on the Real Housewives of Orange County. The blonde and the brunette are the modern-day Lucy and Ethel. Just instead of stuffing chocolate into their mouths they choose caviar. For Gina, Emily is her best friend and home away from home. The real estate agent added, “Emily is literally my family. And you’ll see, like, we get into it sometimes.” As for Katie, Gina is extending respect to her adding, “I think that it’s really hard to come into this group of friends and acclimate and find your footing. So, I grant grace there, but I also haven’t seen how bad it is, so we’ll see.”
