The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 finale had undertones of finality to it. Nothing was accomplished. And things were said that pitted Real Housewives against each other. In the midst of it all, Dolores Catania tried to broker peace.
As the cast sat down for a meal together, there was a feeling that things were coming to an end. Some of the group were antagonizing each other as usual. Melissa Gorga had choice words for her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice. Danielle Cabral was feuding with Jennifer Aydin once again.
But Margaret Josephs’ revelation that Jackie Goldschneider met with Luis Ruelas‘ ex had the whole table shocked. And the person who should have been most upset sat in silence. Dolores shared her reaction to each event during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live after the finale aired.
Dolores is “getting used” to certain behaviors from her castmates
Host Andy Cohen asked Dolores to react to the most shocking events of the sit-down. The first is Danielle’s reaction to Jennifer’s comment about her husband, Nate Cabral.
When asked why the comment upset Danielle so much, Dolores replied, “When you attack somebody’s man, you know, we all run hard for our man. She felt he would be so hurt when he heard that.”
“What was your reaction to seeing Melissa calling Teresa white trash and Teresa calling Melissa a whore?” Andy asked next.
“Am I surprised at anything anymore? We’re getting used to this. They didn’t seem to be upset at either one, they just got mad at each other like they always do,” Dolores responded.
Indeed, Melissa and Teresa’s exchange of barbs was the least shocking thing about the luncheon. As if RHONJ fans are simply immune to it.
It also wasn’t surprising that Jennifer Fessler left early, though she was co-hosting the event. One can point to a lack of decorum in that matter, but Dolores acknowledged that it was too much for her friend.
“She’s not used to this. She’s not cut from this cloth. It’s not for her. No she’s like,’ I had enough,'” she explained.

Then, in the most shocking turn of events, Jackie admitted to having contacted Luis’ ex for dirt.
“Why do you think Teresa did not have a problem at the revelation that Jackie had met with Luis’ ex earlier? Like Teresa had no reaction,” Andy asked.
Dolores, as the Teresa whisperer, responded, “Well, I feel like number one, she said Jackie wasn’t her friend. She said, ‘at one time me and Margaret were friends. I was never friends with Jackie. I expected that from her.’ The other thing is as long as she hates Margaret, she gets a pass.”
Finally, Andy wanted a read on Rachel Fuda’s comment about Luis hiding things from his wife. However, Dolores believes that Luis is “open” about everything in his life.”
