Brittany Cartwright has called time on her marriage to Jax Taylor, officially filing for divorce. The lead star of Bravo’s latest hit series, The Valley, reportedly filed divorce documents Tuesday, August 27, 2024. It comes after her husband Jax checked out of a treatment center, and returned to filming for Season 2 of the reality show alongside his estranged wife.

Right now, details on Brittany and Jax’s divorce are scarce, but TMZ has provided a few. What we do know is that Brittany is seeking primary legal and physical custody of their shared three-year-old son, Cruz. She’s open to visitation from Jax, but has another demand. The filing has Brittany wanting to block the court’s ability to grant spousal support to EITHER of the pair.
Brittany and Jax tied the knot in June 2019, at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles, KY. They had been dating since 2015, and hit many bumps in the road before their eventual engagement in June 2018, at Neptune’s Net in Malibu.
Hopefully, this divorce can go through smoothly, for the sake of their child. But, something tells me there is going to be a lot of mess. Jax is a proud man, and in the past, he hasn’t gone down without a fight; whether or not he’s in the wrong. But, perhaps his recent inpatient treatment has changed him for the better. And here’s hoping the two can get through this with as little mental health disruption as possible.

The Valley Season 2 is expected to return to Bravo in 2025.
