Filming is underway, and the ladies are teasing a wild ride for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14. Five cast members from Season 13 are returning. This casting call excites me greatly because so much has happened to these women since the cameras last left their sides. The ladies involved are also excited. The quips they are releasing to the public about what we can expect to see in Season 14 feel promising.
Aiding these storylines are two new stars (new to this franchise, not new to the industry). Bozoma Saint John is walking on as a full-time star, brought on by her buddy Sutton Stracke. In addition, the always-hysterical Jennifer Tilly will appear as a friend, hopefully bringing a much-needed feeling of lightness to this city. To the delight of many, Kathy Hilton will also pop back in, hopefully carrying a basket of her caviar potatoes.
But what can we expect to see from this series returning full-time stars? Dorit Kemsely and Erika Jayne, so far, have kept mum. But their fellow costars have spilled much tea about RHOBH Season 14.
Sutton Stracke is “very sure” of herself this season on RHOBH
While attending the Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted by Love premiere in Los Angeles, Sutton spoke to US Weekly about RHOBH. At first, she accurately touched on the fact that many of her costars have recently gone through “tumultuous things in” their lives. From separations to court cases of former beaus, Sutton is spitting facts. She then dove into the nuts and bolts of her storylines this year, teasing that she feels “very sure” about herself this season.
“Five years ago,” Sutton was “coming out of a hard divorce.” Therefore, she did not know what she was doing. “I was starting a new business and not quite sure where I was in life,” she explained. “Now, we see me very sure of where I am in life, and starting a new business, and not wanting to take it from people — but also learning how to be empathetic and listening,” Sutton ended.
A strong, takes zero BS version of Sutton? Consider me here for it. Also, consider me here for Sutton’s hopefully comical moments with her pal Jennifer. If anyone can make Sutty laugh, and us in turn, it will be Jennifer, who hopefully sports a pair of ugly leather pants at least once, creating an epic callback moment from Season 13.
Garcelle Beauvais teases an “explosive” RHOBH Season 14
Garcelle Beauvais popped into US Weekly to speak on her latest Lifetime film, Tempted by Love. Naturally, the subject matter of RHOBH Season 14 came up. To start, Garcelle revealed that her son Jax is not taking part in filming this season. After the trolls came for him online, he lost interest, and my heart still hurts for everything he had to endure.
However, RHOBH Season 14 will be one for the books. “This is the most excited I’ve been since I’ve been on,” Garcelle expressed, pointing out that the dynamics this season are different. Therefore, Garcelle teases, “I think it’s explosive. I think different relationships shift, but overall, it’s good.”
When asked if this season might be hard for Garcelle, she said yes. Watching her friends go through hard things while the public takes note is not easy. Specifically, Garcelle is talking about Kyle Richards. Her split from Mauricio Umansky will not stop making headlines, and now, this cast will have to stand squarely at Kyle’s side, helping her navigate her new norms.
On Dorit, another recently separated costar, Garcelle had more tea to spill. “We got a different side of Dorit” this season, Garcelle spilled. She then refused to answer if this side was a good one or a bad one. Since these two are often at odds, I am eager to learn what Garcelle is not saying here.
Kyle Richards will have several “bad days” in Season 14
Sitting down with Jackie Schimmel from the Bitch Bible podcast, Kyle let her long hair down and unpacked her feelings on almost everything. Thankfully, Kyle is a “strong person,” but the “scrutiny” she has received since splitting from Mauricio has sucked. She is “figuring it out,” but this stage has not been easy, which we will soon see on RHOBH. With aging children, a failing marriage, and a Season 13 that left Kyle questioning several of her friendships, Kyle is navigating new waters on RHOBH.
“You know, I’m used to having a lot of chaos and stuff going on around in my house, but the day that he [Maurico] moved out was just strange,” Kyle recalled. Their daughter Alexia Umansky also left the nest, and “It’s been an adjustment for sure,” Kyle admitted. Another new norm Kyle has to navigate is her friendships within this cast. Kyle then revealed that Dorit and Sutton hurt her last year, so in Season 14, we will see more of these conversations as Kyle tries to make peace with her costars.
Adding to these statements, Kyle took to her Amazon Live to share that she and Dorit are still working through their issues, so Season 14 will see this strain. Likewise, we will also see Kyle having several “bad days, which means probably good television, unfortunately.” Finally, Kyle thinks we will like Bozoma, but these two will also “have some moments in the season.”
Bozoma Saint John is a “badass” vault who hopes her scenes will win over the RHOBH viewers
Bozoma is already clocking in, speaking to ET about all things RHOBH Season 14. She already has an impressive resume. So why did she want to join this series? “You’ll have to wait and find out,” she teased, giving us NOTHING.
But Bozoma did joke about being a great “party guest.” She humbly admitted that she can “change every room” she is in. When asked if she was ready to take on the avid fans of RHOBH if need be, Bozoma quipped, “Well, I’m a badass,” so yes, and as she has fans in many different sectors, she is “hoping to win people over” on RHOBH.
She then gave us nothing else. When asked who she bonded with, she kept quiet, albeit giggly. Even still, Bozoma is “excited” about her first season on this series and hopes everyone tunes in.
