DWTS Contestant Anna Delvey Wants ‘On-Air Correction’ From ‘Nasty’ Whoopi Goldberg

Never in a million years did we expect to be reporting on a beef between Anna Delvey and Whoopi Goldberg, but here we are. After Anna was announced as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars Season 33, Whoopi went on The View and reacted to the information like most of us—with sheer and utter confusion. Apparently, Anna didn’t like what Whoop had to say.

DWTS has been flaunting Anna and her ankle monitor around like it’s something cute. On The View, Whoopi couldn’t wrap her head around the idea of them casting a convicted felon facing deportation from the United States.

“I think back to all the families who’ve had family members arrested by ICE who have gone to the courts to get their dad or their brother or their mother back,” Whoop explained. “This woman, they gave her permission to go do this. Now, should I think there’s a reason, is there a two-tiered system here with ICE?”

She continued, “She still owes people money. I don’t understand why she gets to stay!”

In particular, that last comment rubbed Anna the wrong way. According to OK! Magazine, Anna wants people to know that she did pay back the people she scammed. The debt has been repaid, so she wants Whoopi to hold herself accountable for spreading misinformation.

Anna said, “While you are entitled to your own opinions, you should at least get your facts straight. I served my time and paid everyone back in full three-plus years ago.”

She continued, “Looking forward to your on-air correction. Stay nasty ladies, but don’t forget to vote September 17!”

The likelihood of receiving on-air correction is probably about as slim as the chances of Anna winning the Mirrorball Trophy. Still, Anna made it clear that she’s not going to be the punching bag of the season. After all, it’s not the first time DWTS has cast someone with questionable morals.

Dancing with the Stars Season 33 premieres on ABC and Disney+ on September 17 at 8/7c.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON ANNA CALLING OUT WHOOPI? DO YOU THINK THERE WILL BE AN ON-AIR CORRECTION?
