The ladies’ trip to Las Vegas on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is unforgettable for several reasons. The unbridled excitement as the “sinners” enjoyed a surprise Chippendales show. And the heartbreaking way that Zac Affleck treated his wife, Jen Affleck, even though she left before the show began. As you may recall, Zac was one of two men who tagged along on the trip. Many of Jen’s co-stars sounded the alarm about Zac being allegedly controlling. Jen even shared that he threatened to divorce her during his meltdown. And now Zac’s rage text to his wife has been revealed.
Zac Affleck slammed his wife, Jen Affleck, for not taking “accountability” in the text
Jen recently stated that her marriage to Zac was “great.” She added, “I feel like since the show ended, we’ve been doing non-stop therapy. And so at this point, I really feel like we’ve healed from everything and we’ve been completely vulnerable and honest.”
Well, Jen may not have read all her text messages aloud, but Hulu displayed a quick shot of her screen. A viewer, C’est La Vienna, read the text aloud to fans on TikTok. Buckle up, friends.
“Seriously, I don’t want to hear one more time about your heart. Start taking accountability for your actions and for the situations you put yourself in,” Zac reportedly wrote. “Your [sic] a grown woman, it doesn’t matter your intentions. You were there, and that’s the image you portray of yourself, family, church etc. Everyone you represent on this platform,” he added.
Then, Zac referenced the situation as a derogatory term used for people who have disabilities. NOT COOL! Then he mentioned another Mormon wife who wouldn’t put herself in that same situation. “The fact that we’re even having this conversation is sad,” Zac wrote. The phrase, “Realize how dumb you…” could be read before the words became too blurry.
Let’s not forget that Zach was busy gambling for hours during this saga, which is frowned upon by the Mormon Church. Since Jen and Zac are one of the most devout couples on the show, this was … interesting. And a bit hypocritical since Jen didn’t even watch the Chippendales show.
Zac Affleck’s mom, Kristel Affleck, also weighed in
The Mormon Church reportedly released a statement about the show. Blonde Apologist shared an Instagram post with the quote, “The true story of our faith is best seen in the countless lives of those who strive daily to follow our Savior Jesus Christ.” The caption read, “Yesterday the church released a statement in response to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Heretic. I’m posting it here in case you missed it.”
Well, Zac’s mom shared her view in the comments. “I love everything about this statement. As someone who has been personally affected by this let me tell you … Hulu is in the business of destroying marriages and families,” Kristel Affleck wrote. “So now I pray we can all judge less and love more and let our lights continue to shine to show the world who we really are.”
