Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County has been a struggle for Shannon Beador. She was arrested for DUI in September 2023, which was embarrassing for her. Then her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen started dating Alexis Bellino. Of course, Alexis made her triumphant return as a friend of the cast this season.
However, the game changed when Alexis reportedly told Katie Ginella that John had Ring doorbell footage of Shannon from the night of her DUI. And Shannon allegedly nearly hit John’s daughter with her car. At the time, an angry Alexis claimed that John might release the footage. But now Alexis has changed her tune about releasing the tapes.

Alexis has received some backlash for the way that she has sparred with Shannon over John. And now that Johnny J. popped the question after a whopping nine months of dating, Alexis is even more determined to defend her man.
When Alexis was a guest on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, she explained how she was going to expose the truth at the reunion. “I know people make fun of it, but I’m telling you now if you’re going up against lying and the truth, you better have the receipts. My [future] husband is the one that’s being massacred and it’s not true,” Alexis stated. “So I’m not going to drop it. I’m going to show the truth and tell the truth.”
As you may recall, Alexis previously threatened to “pull out the videos” if Shannon didn’t stop speaking negatively about her fiancé. But would Alexis really show those damaging videos?
“That was a mistake. I didn’t mean to blurt that out. That night that I did mention the videos, it was late,” Alexis explained. “We’d been filming all day long. I was tired and his name and her name just kept coming up.” She added, “I was fed up and I was like, ‘Everybody’s in support of Shannon.’ I’m like, ‘Do I need to just show the videos? Someone needs to take accountability here and somebody needs to get off my back.’”

As you may recall, John was also suing Shannon for $75,000 to recoup the money that he loaned her. According to Shannon, the money was a gift, and she was blindsided by the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Alexis doubled down that neither she nor John planned to show the videos of Shannon. “John has sole custody of those videos and has never once said he was going to show them or had any intentions of showing them,” Alexis said, “unless Shannon wanted to personally come sit and watch them with us.” Well, that sounds like a fun night in for this trio. Yikes!
