Below Deck Med Season 9 Finale Preview: Aesha Scott Confronts ‘Calculated’ Elena Dubaich

It’s a battle of egos in the interior on Below Deck Mediterranean. Elena Dubaich is conciously, or subconciously trying to step into the role of Chief Stew. The actual head of command, Aesha Scott, is not taking kindly to the overstepping.

In a sneak peek for the Season 9 finale, Ellie kept on delegating tasks to floater, Carrie O’Neill, despite Aesha giving contradicting direction. When the New Zealand native confronted her Slovenian counterpart, the latter stew feigned shock. Hardly the actions of a “real yachtie.”

Aesha Scott thinks Elena Dubaich was “gaslighting” her

Aesha intercepted Ellie while the guests were having dinner to discuss the uncomfortable issue.

“I just wanted to have a word with you. I feel like you have been overstepping. There’s been a couple of times where I’ve directed the girls to do something and then you’ll be like, ‘Carrie can you do this? Bri can you do this?'” Aesha began the conversation.

Ellie limited herself to brief responses, denying any wrongdoing. It’s a feeling from the season that she is simply so focused on her goals that she’s missing the point of the job.

Aesha explained what is expected of her, “The job of the second is to delegate when I’m not around. But if I’m on the floor, you’re not delegating. Tonight, at dinner, like in what world would you be talking with the chef over me?”

Elena acts like she’s “so unaware”

In a confessional interview, Aesha reacted with disbelief to the conversation. In fact, she felt uncomfortable about the whole thing and didn’t feel that any resolution was reached.

“I feel like Ellie’s gaslighting me in a way. She’s standing their acting like she’s so unaware,” Aehsa said.

In her own confessional, Ellie told producers, “At this point, everything I do is wrong.”

“She’s so calculated. I feel like I never know what Ellie’s is feeling,” the veteran Bravolebrity added.

But Ellie had an explanation for her actions. She explained that she was just trying to flex for the reference she was planning to ask Aesha for.

“I’m just trying to prove to my boss that I can do this job. How is she supposed to write a reference saying I cculd be a good chief stew, if she’s never seen any leadership skills from me?” the newbie reality TV star stated.
