Whitney Rose had some words for her castmates after the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 premiere. In particular, she couldn’t help but comment on Lisa Barlow’s actions at the premiere’s end.
For those who missed the premiere, Whitney and Lisa went at it. However, Lisa wasn’t the only one to come after the entrepreneur. Whitney’s other castmates spoke out against her as well. As such, Whitney couldn’t help but feel targeted, especially over some frivolous drama.
Some viewers may argue that Lisa overreacted to Whitney’s behavior. Others might see that Whitney intentionally triggered her costars. Nevertheless, no matter how the viewers see it, Whitney couldn’t help but feel like the target of a planned attack.
Whitney Rose calls Lisa Barlow’s thrown glass “performative”
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Whitney reflected on the season premiere attack. “That was the biggest premeditated pile-on I’ve ever been a part of,” she said. “I’m really proud of myself for keeping my composure.” Whitney explained that her past self probably wouldn’t have behaved with such “composure” or stood up for herself.
“I feel like they had a plan. They knew exactly what they were doing,” she continued. She further asserted that claims of her being a “liar” were completely unsubstantiated. Whitney also highlighted the hypocrisy, noting that her castmates were documented liars. “I don’t care. … I know the truth,” Whitney reiterated.
Later in the interview, Whitney also mentioned Lisa’s “half-assed throw of a glass. It didn’t even break.” As with the team-up itself, Whitney called the throw “premeditated.” She explained, “You could tell she was thinking about it. It was very performative.” Whitney honestly wished that Lisa would have just taken it “all the way” and broken the glass.
