Heather Dubrow and Emily Simpson are butting heads over on the Real Housewives of Orange County series. During Season 18, Heather threw a fashion show. Although Heather’s designer dressed several of her fellow Real Housewives co-stars for this event, things fell short with Emily. Susan Bender’s fashions are (apparently) size-limited, as Emily had to bring pants from home to wear. Then, the dress this designer brought for Emily also caused friction, as it arrived in a size that Emily hated, making her see red. In a preview for Season 18, Episode 12, Heather is also fuming, as she thinks this fat-shaming narrative sucks.

Last week on RHOC, Emily felt like “the girl who couldn’t fit into the pants that everybody else had on.” In response, Heather explained, “I’m so sorry. I would never do that.”
When Emily saw her dress, which arrived in a size 12, she stressed that she didn’t feel good about this call either, as she is smaller than a size 12. “That’s not my fault,” Heather noted, as the designer chose this size based on Emily’s measurements.
But then Heather grew shady in her confessional, quipping, “I have news for you. The dress was tight on Emily. It wasn’t too big.” The shade is shading.
Cue the preview for Episode 12. Heather and her husband, Terry Dubrow, are sitting in a waiting room, awaiting his test results after his excessive showings of snores. Things are tense, but when Terry admonishes her on camera, Heather pulls him aside, where her mic pack picks up on her words. She’s big mad.
While Heather is mad at Terry for airing his frustrations with her so freely, she is also upset with Emily. Just before her loving husband called her out, Heather had been filling him in on the drama within her cast. With Emily, Heather feels it is “always two steps forward and one step back. There’s a piece of the puzzle” here that Heather is (clearly) failing to grasp.
Terry agrees. He thinks Heather hashes things out “ad nauseam,” which annoys others. One apology should be enough. Flashbacks appear, proving his point.
And now, Heather is mad at many. Including her husband, for “admonishing” her in front of the cameras. Gulp.
