All the Times a Real Housewives Franchise Tried a Trust Exercise

There is nothing about a tree-top ropes course that appeals to me personally. I have tried one, only a year ago. I went through the whole process of getting the harness fitted and safety measures and even climbed the very high stairs to the first obstacle. The first challenge was crossing a tightrope to a tall tree. I managed that. But then I found I couldn’t move out of fear. Evidently, I really have a dislike of heights. Luckily, I was able to go back the way I had come instead of being helped out. As I made my way back to the start, I told the little kids looking on in wonder that it was “okay to know your limitations.” In reality, I was happy that I would never have to do this again. Yet some Real Housewives make these trust exercises look so easy!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta were in a free-fall

During Season 9 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, the women went to the extremes on their glamping trip. As the women took on a high ropes course, it was beautiful to see how all the ladies encouraged one another, proving there was a real sisterhood. Fans watched as Porsha Williams motivated Kenya Moore even though they were sworn enemies. Porsha cheered Kenya on as she panicked, saying, “You got it, warrior woman!.”  And Kenya lent Marlo Hampton a helping hand even amid all her crazy noises. The drama-free scene was refreshing from the usual chaotic episodes.

Phaedra Parks made the outing by noting, “I don’t test Jesus; if he wanted me to fly, he’d given me wings.” The scene was hard not to love as it showed everyone getting along and had me wishing I had these ladies on my team when I froze in fear.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey failed to make an impact

Every star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey is a tough cookie. So it didn’t surprise me one bit to see the cast take on a ropes course with no problem. However, the trust exercise soon wore out its welcome as the women began to fight amongst one another. During Season 12, Traci Barber decided to put together an afternoon aptly called Treescape. She thought competing in a high-ropes trust exercise might heal the group. But she forgot that the women weren’t in the mood to get along. Before the fun, Dolores Catania noted that “Teresa was coming in hot,” but no one listened.

The goal was to finish an elevated obstacle course blindfolded as a partner yelled directions from the ground. The rules seemed simple enough. Traci hoped that partnering her friends with people they needed to build communication with would break the ice. But instead, all hell broke loose, with Teresa Giudice saying, “Yeah, maybe I could go up with some people that I really don’t like so I could throw them down.” Needless to say, it did not go well with Margaret Josephs’ comments ringing true as she noted ‘I’m not wilderness nor am I athletic.”

Dorinda Medley and Bluetone Manor always delivers

During the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2, Dorinda Medley hosted the women at her beloved Bluestone Manor. There, she decided to hold a field day exercise in hopes of helping them bond. I loved how Dorinda incorporated elements of each franchise. The obstacle course involved finding diamonds, golden apples, and squeezing oranges. But after visiting a marijuana dispensary in town, the women were a bit dazed and confused, which only made the game more enjoyable.

As the host, Dorinda refereed the games, so there was a partial judge. Tamra Judge was a clear favorite to win because that woman is “fit as hell.” According to Phaedra, her “biggest competition today is gonna be Taylor’s cameltoe. That thing has bite!” However, in the end, the women really came together and closed out the games with one hell of a relay race. The Atlanta women took the prize, Eva Marcelle coming in first and Phaedra not far behind.

These Real Housewives of Salt Lake City snowflakes are tough

Season 5 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is delivering. The latest season had all the women gather for a high ropes challenge. Perhaps the most surprising part was that Mary Cosby participated! The high ropes trust exercise has the women making some headway in their friendships. Mary learned that Meili Workman wasn’t as skinny as she thought. And fans learned that Whitney Rose used to give under-the-work desk hand jobs. Could this be why Justin Rose was fired? However, Meredith Marks chose to sit out during this exercise. Sadly, the lunch after was where it all went downhill as Britani Bateman was ganged up on.

The Real Housewives of Orange County women get serious about their worst fears

During Season 13, fans watched Shannon Beador note, “Oh lord help me,” as their production vehicles pulled up to the high ropes course from hell. The group of women decided to put their rocky relationships to the test. The Orange County ropes course did not look easy, but the owner noted that it was all about making a commitment and trusting the person they were working with. Vicki Gunvalson immediately stated, “I’ve always trusted. That’s just how I was raised,” But no one was buying what she was selling. But Karma came as Vicki lost her footing and fell off the picnic table. The rope ladder stumped Shannon, but the women came out smiling in the end.
