Tamra Judge does not approve of the backlash against Alexis Bellino. The Real Housewives of Orange County veteran is coming to the defense of her co-star after the latter received a ton of hate from viewers. And it’s interesting to note that Tamra has Alexis’ back given that the two were at odds the last time they filmed RHOC together.
It’s been a difficult season for Alexis and her fiancé, John Janssen, who claim to be fighting some sort of moral battle with his ex-girlfriend Shannon Beador. Their concern with optics and public perception backfired after John filed to sue Shannon for $75,000.
But what is Tamra’s motivation? And how does she explain her new-found friendship with her former co-star?
Tamra Judge is backing Alexis Bellino because she has a “big heart”
Tamra appeared on a recent episode of Bravo HQ: RHOC to discuss the dynamics of the group. She revealed that Alexis had reached out to her, and Heather Dubrow, concerned about how they were being perceived in the public eye.
“Alexis texted me and Heather the other day and said, ‘Girls, I feel just so bad. You guys are going down and people are saying bad things about you because of your friendship with me and that really hurts my heart,’” Tamra revealed. “And I said, ‘I will still support you. Don’t worry about it. I can take it.’ It is hurtful. And I worry about her. Because the hate that is being spewed about her is disgusting. She’s such a kind person and has a big heart.”
During the same episode, Alexis reiterated that interest in recasting her had nothing to do with her dating John.
“When I was in talks as a possibility of coming back, John was not in the picture. So then when he swept me off my feet, I then I had a whole ‘nother layer to my decision making of going back on the show,” she shared. “And one of my main concerns was how are we going to do that. Because I knew it was going to be very difficult for Shannon and I to be in a room together. Just as hard on me as it is on her. No one wants to film with their fiance’s ex.”
