Congratulations are in order for Southern Charm alum Ashley Jacobs. She recently announced that she and her husband Mike Appel are expecting their second child and they couldn’t be happier.
Ashley first appeared on the Bravo reality show in Season 5 as a friend and became a guest on the following season. She was introduced through her relationship with He Who Shall Not Be Named. After two seasons on the Southern Charm, she left the show in 2019. She then met and married Mike in 2021 and the couple had their first baby in the same year.

And now the family is growing. Ashley confirmed with PEOPLE that she and Mike and expecting their second child.
“My husband, son, and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting baby boy #2 in FIVE WEEKS!!!’ she shared. “We cannot wait for his arrival and to watch our boys grow up together. Grateful is an understatement!”
The announcement was made while Ashley and Mike were enjoying a “babymoon” in Santa Barbara. They were enjoying time as a family of three before things changed with the arrival of the new baby.
She also shared the news on her social media. “I’m officially outnumbered,” she joked referring to the fact that there would now be three men in her life. She seemed glowing and happy about it. For the most part, fans offered love and congratulations for her and her family in her comments.
Others though have also noted that they hope she is better than her Southern Charm days. She was often considered a “villain” on the show due to her contentious relationship with Kathryn Dennis, the mother of her ex-boyfriend’s two children. She once famously referred to her as simply an “egg donor.”
But it looks like happiness suits Ashley. She seems utterly besotted with Mike and her family. “I’ve come a long way since my Southern Charm days,” she concluded.
