Welcome to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 3 recap. In this week’s episode, called “Basketball, Bobbleheads, and the Brow Girl,” Whitney takes the ladies on a girls’ trip to Milwaukee, of all places. But things heat up between Bronwyn and Lisa. Meredith tells Heather a nasty rumor about Whitney’s jewelry line. Angie has some sordid news about Britani’s on-again/off-again boyfriend, while Meili confronts Lisa at a Bucks game. Here are some of the highlights from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 3.

Whitney’s packing for her trip to Milwaukee. The women are all going to see one of Trixie Mattel’s drag shows.

“When you first told me you were going to Milwaukee in February,” Whitney’s husband Justin says as she’s packing for the trip, “I was like, ‘You must hate these girls.'”

“I’m glad Heather put together the ropes course,” she tells Justin. “It brought us all together. I’m just glad we’re all back to a place where we can go.”

Don’t expect the kumbaya to last too long, Whit. This group likes to fight with each other.

Meanwhile, over at Meredith’s house, she’s telling her husband Seth that she still just doesn’t trust Whitney. “Spend time with Heather and Lisa, who are evolving with you,” he advises her. “To me, Whitney is like high school algebra. Pay no attention to it.”

Mary informs Whitney that she won’t be traveling on the PJ with the rest of the ladies. That’s probably for the best. She doesn’t want to be trapped at 30,000 feet with people she doesn’t like. She’ll get her own flight to Milwaukee, thanks.

Angie has info for Britani but doesn’t know if it’s her place to share on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Over at Angie’s house, she’s also packing for the trip. She’s not on the best terms with everyone either, but she’s still looking forward to the trip.

She does have a bit of gossip to share with her hubby, Shawn. “My brow girl was telling me that [Britani’s on/off boyfriend] is sending her DMs, commenting on her DMs, and wanting her to call him.”

“My brow girl says that she’s getting overly friendly, flirtatious texts from Jared Osmond,” she says in a confessional. “I feel really badly for Britani. I know what it’s like to have people talk about your relationship. But Britani’s clearly in love with Jared, and I don’t want to see her get hurt.”

“She’s actually really sweet,” Angie tells Shawn. “So I’m not sure if I should give her a heads-up. I just don’t know if it’s my place … I think if the opportunity arises, I’ll say something.”

Everybody loves Milwaukee, even Mary

In the van from the airport, the private jet ladies are all thrilled to be in Milwaukee. Heather gives us a little history lesson on the name “Milwaukee” (it’s Algonquin). Angie wants to know where the mountains are, and someone explains to her that they’re in the plains now. It’s flat.

Mary loves Milwaukee, even though she’s never been there before. Apparently, her dad used to live there, so it makes her feel close to him.

“He actually used to live a street away from Jeffrey Dahmer,” she says. “Every time he would go to work, he would smell a strange smell, and he always said, ‘Where’s that smell coming from?’ And, like, a week later, they arrested Jeffrey Dahmer. He saw the whole thing go down. I think he was just being nosy, but he saw it.”

Holy moley! Mary brought like five suitcases of clothes for two days. That’s stepping on Sai De Silva’s territory.

The ladies are staying in a beautiful guest suite with nine bedrooms, so everyone gets their own. It’s very nice and fully equipped with a kitchen (like anybody’s gonna cook).

Lisa gets emotional about her son’s health issues on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

At lunch (obviously catered), Britani asks Lisa how her son Jack is doing on his mission in Bogotá. “Healthwise, he’s been fledgling a little bit,” Lisa responds, obviously not knowing the definition of the word “fledgling.” I think she means “struggling.”

“I don’t want to get emotional,” Lisa adds, “but he’s been having some health problems.”

In a confessional, she says, “Jack has been at his mission for about eight months. In the middle of the night, he woke up with the worst pain in his stomach … He couldn’t even stand up. As a mom, it’s like the worst thing to know your kid is not doing well, and you’re not there … I was going to fly to Columbia, but Jack said, ‘No, I don’t want you coming. I will figure this out by myself.'”

In a confessional, she tearfully shares, “He’s my firstborn. He’s my baby. Just to have him going through so much is really hard as a mom.”

Everyone is supportive and says they’ll pray for Jack and for her, too. They’re all moms and understand how worried she must be.

Basketball, bobbleheads, and bitchery on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Whitney announces that they’re going to a Milwaukee Bucks game this evening. But first, she wants to take everyone to “one of the largest bobblehead museums” in the world, which happens to be in Milwaukee. Mary called Whitney a “bobblehead” last season, so she wants to take Mary there.

“There’s more than just bobbleheads in Milwaukee,” Heather adds. “It also has some casinos that we could go to if we have some gamblers.”

While they’re getting ready, Angie checks in on Bronwyn, who’s getting glammed in her room. Angie knows that things got heated with Bronwyn the last time the group was together, and she wants to make sure she’s okay.

“It was a lot,” Bronwyn says. “I’m very upset with Heather. But Lisa, I’m furious with … Lisa is a longtime friend of mine, and not only did she not [defend me], but she could have shut that down so simply.”

“The things Lisa said about Meili were far worse than anything I said about anyone,” she adds. We see a flashback to when Heather, Lisa, and Bronwyn went to the Wendy’s drive-thru for lunch. Lisa told the others that Meili was about to get black-listed from Nordstrom for all of her returns. Meow.

“The two of them did talk sh*t to me and then tried to out me as a sh*t talker,” she added.

“I’m not using Lisa’s words, I’m just letting people know that Lisa had words,” Bronwyn interviews. “I’m not throwing Lisa under the bus — yet, but I am turning the bus on.”

Meanwhile, Heather’s still suspicious of Bronwyn’s intentions. She feels like she’s Bronwyn’s playing to whoever’s in front of her while laughing behind their backs. “Am I the only one seeing her this way?” she asks.

Bobblehead scavenger hunt or roulette table?

Heather, Lisa, Meredith, Britani, and Angie are at the casino. Lisa tells us that the Mormon Church frowns on anything addictive (alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography). But she thinks it’s okay ’cause she’s just having fun, and she’s not addicted.

“That’s why I call it Mormon 2.0,” she says. All right then.

Meanwhile, Mary, Whitney, Meili, and Bronwyn are at the Bobblehead Museum. They have over 10,000 bobbleheads on display. They even have a bobble of Bernie Sanders and his famous mittens from the 2021 Inauguration. Cute!

The ladies at the museum have made up a scavenger hunt for the ladies to complete. Fun!

Though Bronwyn interviews that she prefers shopping, “friendship requires sacrifice,” so she’ll bite the bullet.

One of the items they have to find is a bobble of the Golden Girls, so of course, they have to decide which one they would each be. “I’m Rose,” says Mary. Whitney claims Sophia, Meili says she’s Blanche, and that leaves Bronwyn to be Dorothy.

Back at the casino, Britani is still trying to reach her “boyfriend” Jared, who didn’t answer her call earlier. He texts that he doesn’t know how he missed her call. Lisa asks if she can answer him, then texts back, “Hey, sorry, having the best time with the girls. I don’t know what time we’ll be in tonight. So … I guess we’ll chat tomorrow.”

“You have to be done with him unless he makes a major, major change,” she tells Britani.

“But he did,” Britani responds. “He asked me to be his girlfriend.”

At the end of the roulette table, Angie just sips her drink and says nothing.

Is Whitney stealing designs and calling them her own on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City?

At the casino, Heather and Meredith go to the bar for a drink. Heather says Whitney thought she was offering an olive branch by asking Meredith to bring caviar for the group, but Meredith “rebuffed” her. Asking someone to bring a pricey hors d’oeuvre for everyone is an olive branch? That’s odd.

But Meredith is still not over Whitney selling her bath bombs when Meredith is the Bath Queen. She’s also got scoop on Whit.

“They’re saying that Whitney is using designs off of Alibaba and selling them at 10-20 times the price,” Meredith says. Who’s saying? Are the streets talking again? “She’s using the same stock photos and stuff like that … I was tagged, like, a hundred times about this.”

“Alibaba is bulk, not curated, and not high quality,” Heather interviews. “Somebody’s out to get Whitney. This is someone … who wants to destroy her reputation cause this is very specific and very damaging.”

Heather urges Meredith to tell Whitney what’s out there and offer her support. Meredith says she’ll think about it, but doesn’t think Whit wants her advice.

When the group arrives at the basketball stadium, they’re greeted by Dustin, the Chief Marketing Officer for the Bucks. He says that when they get inside, the Team President, Peter Feigin, will escort the ladies courtside to watch the team warm up. “Then we’ll take you to the suite, and you’ll have a nice night up in the suite.”

Up in their suite, Angie says she needs to go to the bathroom, but Mary tells her she never uses public restrooms. She uses a tampon if she’s going to be away from her own bathroom for a long period. “Make sure it’s the supersize,” she advises. “It can’t be the medium or the small.”

That’s just gross, Mary. I’m surprised she hasn’t gotten a bacterial infection. Eww!

During the game, Britani is FaceTiming Jared. Angie’s feeling guilty about the information she’s holding.

“She’s obsessed with this guy,” she tells Bronwyn. “I’m gonna tell you a story. My brow girl … is telling me that she’s, like, flirting with him in the DMs, and she’s sending me screenshots … It makes me feel bad.”

She shows Bronwyn screenshots that show his face, his phone number, and him saying that he and Britani “are not together.” He also said that he and Britani “broke up” and she “wasted no time” dating other guys, which is a total lie. Jared’s a playuh, y’all!

“If you knew this about me, I’d want you to tell me,” Bronwyn says. “I’d also want you to help me hide Todd’s body when I kill him.”

Angie spills the beans to Britani about Jared

Suddenly, Britani turns around in her seat and asks, “Is this about me?”

Angie can’t help but spill the whole story about her brow girl DMing with Jared. When Brit asks when all this took place, Angie says it was only two weeks ago. She explained that she just wanted to make her aware. “I’d be a bad friend for not telling you,” she says.

“I’ll be back in a minute,” Britani says. Is she going to cry in the bathroom? Or maybe she’s going to confront Jared on the phone and needs privacy to do it. Meredith follows her out of the suite, putting her arm around her for comfort. Britani’s sobbing, poor girl. I’ve been there.

In the restroom, which is surprisingly empty (and clean!) for a public restroom. Did they rent the space for filming?

Britani wipes away tears. She also tells Meredith that she “suspected” that something was going on. “It’s just hard to get confirmation,” she admits.

Finally, Meredith tells Brit, “Let’s go back out there and have fun.”

Bronwyn tells Meili about Lisa’s nasty comment about her clothes

In the meantime, Bronwyn confronts Meili about making fun of her fashion sense. “If you have a problem with me,” she says, “you need to have a serious conversation with Lisa.”

Meili confronts Lisa. “About an hour ago, Bronwyn told me to ask you how you feel about my outfits,” she says. Dun dun DUN!

“It was a snarky comment,” Lisa admits, “after [Bronwyn] said, ‘Oh, that’s like Valentino.’ Then I responded, ‘Don’t worry. It’s probably back at Nordstom.'”

“That’s not like something I would ever do,” Meili says.

“This is the problem,” Bronwyn interjects, talking about Lisa. “You say, ‘It’s a snarky comment, it’s a joke, ha ha ha’ … But when I said it, it was not a joke. So if you want to get away with a little mess, then all of you are gonna have to let me get away with a little mess myself. And that includes Heather.”

“Bronwyn, I’m sorry that you didn’t feel supported by me,” Lisa apologizes. “I try to always support my friends and to stand up for what I think is right.” Bronwyn’s not buying it.

Heather has “new person distrust issues,” according to Whitney

Bronwyn’s still upset that Heather was yelling at her about the conversation she had with the two of them. “At any point in time, you could have said, ‘I know Bronwyn very well. That’s not how that conversation was intended … You could have ended it, but you didn’t bother to.'”

“I did defend her,” Lisa interviews. “What did she want me to do? Throw a glass for her? I only do that when I’m defending myself.”

When Heather joins the conversation, Bronwyn says, “We need to come correct about a few things.” Heather thinks Bronwyn’s manner is uppity and weird. Weird like lying about a black eye weird or another type of weird?

“If anyone needs to come correct in this situation, it’s Bronwyn,” Heather interviews, “about the bullsh*t things she said about everyone in the room, including Whitney. I’m not falling for it.” Maybe Bronwyn watched Season 4 and isn’t buying any of Heather’s BS either.

Even though she loves Heather standing up for her, Whitney believes Heather has trust issues with new people, especially after what happened last year with Monica. “It’s that immediate knee-jerk reaction,” Whitney says, “of ‘new person, can’t trust you.’ And I think that she’s displacing that trust onto Bronwyn.”

Meanwhile, Bronwyn tells Heather, “You said that I laughed at Whitney’s trauma when both of you said to me, ‘Whitney plays that up when she wants to and downplays it when she doesn’t.'”

“Everyone here is talking about everyone else,” Bronwyn interviews. “It’s not gonna stop unless we all realize that. I’m not the root of the problem. I’m just the best-dressed part of the problem.” That comment should be placed in the Real Housewives Hall of Fame.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
