Jax Taylor ‘Made Errors’ Filling out Legal Custody Documents

Vanderpump Rules fans watched Jax Taylor invite perky Brittany Cartwright to move into his tiny apartment. All the while, he insisted to his friends that she wasn’t moving in. From there, we watched these two crazy kids endure a cheating scandal and then reconcile. Finally, Jax popped the question, and Brittany accepted. Their big Kentucky wedding was filmed for Pump Rules. But while filming the series The Valley, their marriage fell apart.

Brittany and Jax share a son, 3-year-old Cruz. After being separated for months, Brittany pulled the plug and filed for divorce in August 2024. She stated that she and Jax could co-parent amicably. “Obviously, we’re both going to put him first. It’s going to be fine no matter what because we both love him so much,” she said of their son.

Meanwhile, Jax has been on a journey of self-discovery. After a month-long stay in a mental health facility, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and is taking medication, which is helping him. And Jax now knows he is a “narcissist.”

According to Page Six, Jax “made errors” when filling out legal papers to give Brittany full custody of their son. In a statement, Jax’s representative said, “While Jax made errors in filling out forms that are usually done by trained legal professionals, those errors will be amended without delay.” The statement continued, “Jax and Brittany have already long resolved all matters related to custody of Cruz, and will continue to work together privately for the best interest of their son, which remains their overriding concern.”

While Jax’s rep didn’t state what the errors were, Page Six looked at the legal documents, which were filed in September. The documents said that the couple were not legally married. Well, that could certainly be the error. Maybe next time, Jax should spring for an attorney to deal with his divorce and custody arrangements.

The Valley is streaming on Peacock.

TELL US – ARE YOU SHOCKED THAT JAX DIDN’T HIRE AN ATTORNEY? DID YOU THINK THAT HE WOULD AGREE TO LET BRITTANY HAVE FULL CUSTODY OF CRUZ?
