Todd Chrisley Has Concerns Over Wife Julie’s ‘Welfare’ While She’s in Prison

Todd Chrisley recently made a statement regarding his wife, Julie, and her prison resentencing. Sort of. It was a statement relayed through his lawyer, given Todd’s own sentencing. The Chrisley Knows Best stars found themselves behind bars for 12 counts of wire fraud, bank fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy.

However, the Chrisley family worked toward a resentencing for Julie. No evidence could tie her to the crimes in their totality dating back to 2006. So, higher courts demanded a resentencing for Julie based on the sure evidence of her crimes.

Unfortunately for Julie, Judge Eleanor L. Ross gave Julie the exact same ruling as before. Regarding the Chrisley children, Judge Ross said, “I am not the one who made the choices to put the children in that situation.” To no one’s surprise, the Chrisleys aren’t too happy about the adjudication.

In a statement to the New York Post, the Chrisleys’ lawyer said Todd was “extremely disappointed” and “dissatisfied” with Julie’s resentencing. Todd also expressed concern “about Julie’s health and welfare” after she suffered a “serious health problem” in prison. The attorney added no further details.

The Post reminded readers of Julie’s statements in court. “I would like to say I’ve had years to think about what I’ve wanted to say and I’m sorry for my actions and situations that led us to where we are today,” she said. “I’ve had 20 months in prison, but it has been much more leading up to the trial and I apologize for my actions that led to where we are today.”

Julie later added, “I can’t ever repay my children for what they’ve had to go through and for that, I am so sorry.” As it stands, the Chrisleys’ attorney plans to appeal Judge Ross’ resentencing. The attorney felt Judge Ross took a stand against celebrity bias rather than fairly judging Julie.
