Previously, the family had been tight-lipped about Kim’s recent struggles. However, they were hard to ignore when she made headlines for being placed on a psychiatric hold. After her release, Kyle Richards allowed her to stay in her home in Encino, California, but allegedly, the whole situation has reopened old wounds for the sisters. On the other hand, Kathy seems to be keeping her faith.

The eldest of the sisters spoke to People about the status of Kim’s health. She hesitated to go into too many details, but the small update she shared was positive.
Kathy said, “We love her and we support her, and that’s all I can say.”
Although a source close to the family previously said that Kim’s sisters had reached a “breaking point,” Kathy told the reporters that Kim was doing better. She also made it clear that she isn’t giving up on her sister.
This is the type of public support that Kim deserves and a stark difference from Kyle’s response. She hasn’t addressed the situation publicly, but a source close to the family said that Kim’s sobriety “particularly weighs heavily” on Kyle. Not to mention, the Los Angeles Police Department was called to help “keep the peace” between the sisters.
