RHOSLC’s Angie Katsanevas on a Potential Monica Garcia Comeback: ‘It Doesn’t Feel Safe’

Season 4 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was epic. It featured the shocking reveal that Monica Garcia was involved with the troll account Reality Von Tease. In a not-so-shocking move, Monica was a one-and-done because none of the ladies wanted to work with her. Now Angie Katsanevas, Season 5’s center snowflake, is weighing in on Monica’s potential return.

Angie Katsanevas doesn’t want RHOSLC to “get too toxic”

Did you think that Monica was going to sit out Season 5? She already called Lisa Barlow by the nickname “Baby Wrinkles” instead of Baby Gorgeous. She also shared her feelings about the premiere, when Whitney Rose was arguing with Lisa, Meredith Marks, and Heather Gay. “I….FUMING. This is exactly why they didn’t want my a$$ there. Wouldn’t have happened on my watch, and they know that,” Monica wrote in her Instagram Story.

Meanwhile, Angie is not a fan of Monica making a Salt Lake City comeback. When asked her thoughts about Monica possibly returning, Angie was firm. “I don’t see how it would fit,” she told US Weekly. “I mean, this is a person that’s like stalked people through cameras in their homes, that has been saying horrible things online about some of the women on the cast. And is continuing to do so.”

Angie continued, “It’s dark and it doesn’t feel safe. And like I want a safe workspace. This is a friend group, but we’re working, you know what I mean?” She added, “We’re spending hours with each other, and it needs to feel safe and it needs to feel … just non-toxic.”

However, Angie also had concerns about the longevity of RHOSLC if Monica returned. “I also think it’s not good for the show to get too toxic and I feel like, had things continued, then we would have headed on that same trajectory that we’ve seen ruin other housewives shows,” Angie explained. “We have our drama, but we have a lot of light, fun, comedic relief moments and it’s like the perfect balance right now.” She added, “You know, I wish her and her family well and I’m sure there’s an amazing opportunity out there for her.”

And Angie isn’t alone. Meredith also suggested that Monica move along. “I haven’t talked to her. I don’t really know what she thinks about all of it but I would imagine that Monica would prefer to do a different show at this point,” Meredith previously stated. “You know, it would make more sense.” Well, Monica landed a role in Season 2 of House of Villains. She is EVA 2.0, or the voice in the house. Maybe we will see Monica competing in the next season of that show.

Season 5 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
