Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Says Kids ‘Betrayed Him’

As Sister Wives fans know, Kody Brown has never been comfortable accepting blame for the demise of his polygamous family. The patriarch once believed that “Love should be multiplied, not divided.” But now, Kody is just trying to hold onto his last bit of patience when thinking about his older children. After a tense conversation with Robyn Brown, fans are starting to believe Kody will never come around to fixing his broken relationships.

Kody Brown is adamant he isn’t in the wrong

On the Sunday, October 6th, episode of Sister Wives, Kody revealed that he was “tired of being angry” when it came to thinking about his divorce from Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Janelle Brown. The conversation marked the first time that Kody really has addressed his issues with his older children since COVID-19. In a dramatic monologue, Kody noted, “In the divorce, the ugly finger of blame has come out.” The father of 18 broke down after having an argument with his fourth wife, Robyn, about trying to be a better dad. Robyn tried her best to talk her husband down. But Kody went on to claim that numerous Brown kids had accused him of “never” being around or at their house when they were growing up.

Kody cried, “I’m sorry. I had four wives. I was at your house, though, because the other wife was complaining that I was at your house.” Caught up in his emotions, Kody shared that his kids are “purposefully leaving me out of their lives to punish me for a crime I did not commit. I am only guilty of not falling madly in love with their mothers.” But Kody claimed to have cracked the case, sharing, “Our family was killed by gossip.” Robyn argued that he should take more of an initiative to extend an olive branch. But Kody added, “I’m not abandoning my children. They have betrayed me.”
