Larsa Pippen’s son, Scotty Pippen Jr., just signed a regular contract after multiple two-way contracts in the NBA. Scotty Jr. is the oldest child of Larsa and Scottie Pippen.
Real Housewives of Miami fans likely know that Larsa and her ex-husband aren’t on the best terms. For the most part, the two stay out of each other’s business as much as possible. Still, that didn’t stop Larsa from calling Scottie’s family “resentful” toward her.
Moreover, Larsa can’t help but compare any man she meets to Scottie, which makes dating hard. At the very least, she scored a cut of Scottie’s retirement plan in the divorce settlement. Now, Scotty Jr. is on his way to his own NBA retirement plan.
Scotty Jr.’s Summer League performance lands him a Grizzlies NBA contract
On October 15, The Daily Mail reported that Scotty Pippen Jr. was set to sign a new NBA deal. According to unspecified reports, Scotty Jr. will sign a multi-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. Scotty previously had a two-way contract with the Grizzlies. His new deal will be a standard contract.
At 23 years old, Scotty Jr. was initially undrafted. However, after an impressive latter half of the NBA Summer League and preseason, a contract manifested. Fans who follow Larsa on Twitter may have been aware of this already. In July, Larsa tweeted that Scotty Jr. “was the MVP of summer league,” adding that “stats don’t lie.”
Larsa’s support of her son is all too clear. She tracked his time playing for the Vanderbilt Commodores, the South Bay Lakers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Grizzlies. According to ESPN, Scotty averaged 25.1 minutes each game in the regular season and 12.9 points to boot. The new kid in town has certainly had his moments.
