The new season of Real Housewives of Potomac shows Mia Thornton and Gordon Thornton getting along, for the most part. Viewers even learned that Mia’s boyfriend helped fold G’s underwear. But not everything is as it seems. Mia recently called out her estranged husband, noting he was “abusive.”
Mia Thornton is dropping relationship bombs
The former entertainer took to her Instagram to share some disturbing details about her relationship with Gordon. In the hefty post, Mia noted, “TO CAPTURE A PREDATOR YOU CAN’T REMAIN THE PREY.” The Real Housewives of Potomac star revealed to followers that she was “tired of protecting.” Mia went on to write that she met her soon-to-be ex-husband at The Men’s Club Charlotte when she was just 19 years old. Mia revealed that Gordon would come into the club and “spend endless amounts of money.” But Mia claimed she was “manipulated” into thinking he was “this successful, powerful pillar in the community.”
Mia disclosed that their first years together had her feeling “trapped and confused.” Mia divulged that she once “walked in having sex and making out with a friend of mine,” adding, “So I followed my heart and ran back to my love INC.” However, according to the mother of two, G “Lost his mind, became abusive and threatened my existence.”

Mia ended her post by saying, “I’ve endured many levels of abuse. He promised that if I ever tried to leave him, he would assure me that I would not live a prosperous life. I’m tired of protecting a predator, one who pays for sexual favors. Who preys on young women and master manipulates them into being his sex slaves.” Gordon has yet to comment.
