Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 16, “Sunday Roasted.” Last week, the ladies were still very much in London. Shannon stormed out of another dinner, fainting from exhaustion from the women’s drama. And even though Shannon revealed she had old texts from Alexis proving she was part of the lawsuit, everyone seems to have forgotten that juicy detail.
What happened on Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 16?
I have to be honest; this week’s episode was a wee bit boring. Let’s call it the filler episode. Jenn is still demanding answers from Tamra about the background check she did on Ryan years ago. However, Tamra wants a quick getaway by taking the high ground. Shannon has a lovely afternoon, drama-free with her daughters. And Heather discovers that Katie is spreading rumors about her that involve the children.
Jenn is still pissed and doesn’t understand Tamra’s motives at all. As the glam squad tried to remove themselves, Jenn stormed out of the hotel room and yelled, “You don’t have a soul.” Shannon was equally concerned about keeping her distance from Tamra. The highlight of the episode was seeing Shannon’s adorable girls. It’s like Emily in Paris but on steroids with these two. But it’s sweet to see Shannon being supported by her daughters because those girls have been through a lot because of their parents.
The caviar house on Real Housewives of Orange County
Tamra, Gina, and Heather had an afternoon out exploring Mayfair. The neighborhood is quaint, but Tamra quickly brings the housing prices down as she drops more grenades. The realtor revealed more red flags about the newbie, telling the group that Katie’s daughter watched Emily’s twin sons. Kaili, who is 20, evidently reported back that the eight-year-old boys said, “We don’t like Heather. She’s mean to our mom. She’s bossy.” But no one bought the fake news story. All those twins care about is their apple snacks meant to be served at 3 p.m. Emily thankfully course-corrected, noting, “My boys told me that Kaili was the one who said, “Heather is mean.”
Tamra deals with drama on Real Housewives of Orange County
The day in London just flew by, and we found the ladies at another dinner. We already know it’s gonna be rough, so let’s not act surprised. But before drinks, the ladies have an etiquette class, which Fancy Pants set up. Naturally, poop is the main subject, and the teacher is mortified. The class seems moot since the ladies all point, yell, and spit out drinks regularly. There were way too many rules, and I think it’s okay that our RHOC ladies are not demure.
The moment the teacher left, the ladies lost their cool. Tamra exploded in rage at Shannon, yelling, “You’re a liar and a drunk. You don’t remember anything you say.” Jenn relaunched her smear campaign on the “devil” Tamra and doesn’t even know all the facts. We all know when Tamra doesn’t respect someone, there are no boundaries, but Tammy Sue isn’t totally wrong about her judgment of Ryan. Jenn just doesn’t know that yet. No one has ever heard Jenn be this loud and confrontational; it’s impressive. Jennifer drew her line in the sand, and I think Tamra knows she can no longer talk about Ryan. And if she does, she has to face the wrath of the yelling yogi.
Dancing with the devil on Real Housewives of Orange County
Lord, the episode isn’t even halfway through, and I’m clutching my metaphorical pearls, guys. On their trip to Windsor, Tamra is livid and throws Shannon under the bus. Tammy Sue claimed that Shannon had reached out to Taylor Armstrong’s husband, John, who is a lawyer, to see if there was any legal information about Gina pushing Travis down the stairs. There were reports last year in the media that the realtor had become aggressive with her boyfriend, but they were unsubstantiated. Naturally, Gina is nowhere to be found, and the topic will undoubtedly be brought up at a later date. Good luck to Shannon.
Meanwhile, in between the drama, Shannon literally collapsed in the Sprinter van from not being able to poop for three days. Even though it was gross, the moment was funny, as the enema added the comic relief that this episode had been lacking. Also, we’ve seen this party trick of Shannon’s before… Now, back to the regularly scheduled program.
Even a pub lunch couldn’t help this group on Real Housewives of Orange County
The Sunday roast got off to an uneasy start. Shannon decided this was the best time to pull Heather out for a chat. While those two froze their butts off, Tamra saw an opportunity to fill Gina in. The news came hard as Tamra revealed that Shannon had consulted an attorney regarding the rumors of Gina pushing Travis. However, Gina took the gossip quite well. But the moment Shannon returned, the episode blurred as multiple arguments broke out simultaneously.
Gina calmly explained that Travis’ ex-wife “is a horrible person. This woman is telling complete f*cking lies. I have separated the home that I was sharing with the love of my life to get away from this insanity. Tamra doesn’t care. If she wants to get someone, I have a problem with that when I’m hurt in the process.”
Tamra wants people to know that she is not the one digging up information. As Shannon tried to wiggle her way out of any accountability, Tamra notes, “Taylor confirmed it all last night on the phone.” Gina and the rest of the ladies can’t help but feel “everybody acts like toddlers.” This entire conversation feels messy. Gina, and dare I say, fans are done with the nastiness.
