Beyoncé To Join Kamala Harris’ Houston Rally: Will She Sing Campaign Song Freedom?

Beyoncé is set to join Kamala Harris in Houston for a Friday night rally, it’s been confirmed. Also appearing at the event will be Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, and country music legend Willie Nelson.

The news comes from anonymous sources familiar with the planning for the Houston rally, and was first reported by The Washington Post. Now, the question turns to whether or not Queen Bey will perform at the event. In particular, many want to know if she will sing the song that has headlined the soundtrack for the Vice President’s entire campaign: Freedom.

After rumors and even reports claiming Beyoncé would perform her song Freedom at the final night of the Democratic convention proved to be false, the 32-time Grammy winner’s fans will be thrilled to hear that they will be getting an appearance after all. Whether or not Beyoncé will perform at the Harris Houston rally, however, remains to be seen.

Why is Beyoncé’s appearance at Kamala Harris’ Houston rally important for her campaign?

Kamala’s campaign calls Texas “ground zero of the nation’s extreme abortion bans.” So, in Houston, she plans to speak to Americans about the threats she thinks her opponent, former president Donald Trump, poses to women and their reproductive rights. She’s had support from all sorts of celebrities, from reality stars, to Taylor Swift. Beyoncé might just be the highest-profile in-person endorsement of all.

This wouldn’t be Beyoncé’s first time attending a political rally. She turned up to support Hillary Clinton shortly before the 2016 presidential election. As we all know, that election didn’t go in Hillary’s favor, resulting in a Republican victory. So, having Beyoncé appear at this upcoming rally doesn’t mean the election is a done deal.

It’s likely Beyoncé should expect some vitriol from Donald Trump for agreeing to attend Harris’ Houston rally. The former president has critiqued other celebrities for doing the same.

For his part, Donald is supported by celebs including his close friend Hulk Hogan, and Kid Rock.
