So much has happened in the many years since Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie hit our screens in The Simple Life. Both girls have grown, have families, and experienced so much. However, in the teaser of their new show, Paris & Nicole: The Encore, it feels like no time has passed.
The iconic duo still feels exactly the same as they did when they first debuted on The Simple Life two decades ago. This promises to be a fun throwback to the Paris and Nicole people fell in love with, peppered with the color of their life experiences.
Paris and Nicole revive Sanasa for their Peacock show
The new series will be coming to exclusively Peacock on December 12. All episodes will be available to stream.
The teaser drops several months after news broke of their reunion. Earlier in the year, rumors surfaced about a potential reunion between the pair. Eventually, both Paris and Nicole confirmed the show with Paris sharing her excitement about the reunion show focused on their friendship.
In the teaser, we see Paris and Nicole together again (and look absolutely fabulous too) in the theatre. The pair are at opera auditions and watching an opera singer singing an aria on stage. The singer sounds beautiful, but Paris asks her to stop while Nicole says something isn’t right.
They agreed it was the words and asked the singer to continue the performance but to change the words to just “Sanasa.” Fans will recognize the legendary lyrics of the song the girls wrote as kids and popularized on The Simple Life. The opera singer began singing Sanasa, and honestly? It’s pretty iconic.
Fans flooded the comments with positive comments looking forward to the series. Looks like the new special is going to be epic. And why wouldn’t it considering it’s featuring pioneers of the reality television genre? The network tells fans to expect lots of fun, chaos, and epic one-liners. We’d expect nothing less from Paris and Nicole.
And speaking of iconic one-liners, at the end of the teaser, Paris drops her iconic phrase. Watching the opera singer singing “Sanasa,” Paris and Nicole both approve with Paris confirming, “That’s hot.”
