As a special Halloween treat, Bravo dropped a trailer today for the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 Reunion. Already? It seems like we just started this season.
In addition to rehashing the ongoing animosity between Heather Dubrow and newbie Katie Ginella, the ladies are still talking about Shannon Beador’s alleged problem with alcohol. You can’t make someone quit drinking if they don’t want to. If driving her car into someone’s house while drunk wasn’t rock bottom, I hate to think about what it will take for her.
As we’re all well aware, Alexis Bellino returned to RHOC for Season 18. She’s now engaged to Shannon’s ex, John Janssen, which didn’t earn her a lot of popularity points with some of the women. Emily Simpson, in particular, seems to have a lot to say about “Jesus Jugs” (I’m sorry, Andy Cohen referred to her that way).

“Every trashcan needs a lid,” Emily says in the trailer, “and John Janssen found his.”
“Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb can move away…” Alexis begins, which triggers Emily.
“Don’t f*cking call me dumb,” Emily shouts back. “You are the dumbest girl I’ve ever f*cking met.”
Why is Emily so angry with Alexis? Apparently, there are several reasons, not all of which were shown on camera.
One of Emily’s issues with Alexis was the fact that John filed a lawsuit against Shannon for the $75,000 he says she owes him. Shannon claimed she thought the money was a gift rather than a loan. She doesn’t remember ever signing any kind of promissory note or loan documents of any kind. Emily doesn’t like the pressure being put on Shannon when she’s already struggling in her life.
Then there was Heather’s charity fashion show, where Emily felt singled out because she thought she was the only one asked to bring jeans. She felt Heather was implying that she didn’t have any jeans “big enough” for Emily to wear. Emily also felt self-conscious about having to wear the same dress as Alexis on the runway. She felt like it would highlight that she’s still heavier than Alexis, even though Emily’s lost so much weight. Emily felt like the “Big Girl.” When Alexis jumped in to defend herself unnecessarily, Emily went off.
She took her anger out on Alexis, calling her “annoying and looney” and then yelling at her to “shut the f*ck up!”
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 Reunion airs November 7 at 9/8c on Bravo.
