The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast is very divided at the moment. But one thing is for sure, Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks are back. It felt like an easy friendship in the premiere season. And it took until Season 5 for them to make amends and have it truly feel genuine after Lisa’s hot mic moment from Season 2.
But the Vida Tequila founder revealed that she and Meredith have moved on. Not only that, but they seem to have each other’s backs. Meredith defended the friendship when other cast members meddled. A sneak peek shows the jewelry designer advising Lisa not to trust anyone in the group.
Meredith Marks’ warning for Lisa Barlow
So how does Lisa interpret the situation? Entertainment Tonight asked the RHOSLC star how things stand with Meredith.
In a clip shared on X, Lisa “reflected on her ‘2.0’ friendship with Meredith Marks and clarifies if she believes what she said in her infamous hot-mic moment.”
“I love it,” Lisa said of the friendship now. “I feel like now that we’re in this place that we can be super honest with each other, I feel like it’s like two friends acting like friends. And it feels really really nice.”
Unlike the other women in the group, the duo “were real friends.” They didn’t need to mesh and were simply organic with each other.
“We were real friends before we started this journey. We were the only two that were super close prior to this new journey that we’re on. So, you know, it’s nice to be back there,” Lisa added.
Lisa Barlow’s hot mic moment is ancient history
The hot mic moment caught Lisa ranting to herself after a fight. Her exact words were, “Meredith can go f-ck herself. I’m done with her. Because I’m not a f-cking wh-re and I don’t cheat on my husband.”
Reflecting on that moment, it seems that Meredith put the work in to forgive her friend. And RHOSLC viewers can enjoy their camaraderie now. But Lisa does have her hands full feuding with Whitney Rose.
“I feel like it’s 100 percent forgiven,” she concluded. “I think we both did things that weren’t nice to each other. I tried to have a private moment. I left the table for a reason. I would never want to hurt her.”
Lisa joked, “And I don’t think she’s f-cked half of New York. Or a quarter. Or even one percent.”
