Craig Conover and Austen Kroll have seemingly always had a messy bromance on Southern Charm. Sometimes, they’re fighting and the next, they’re jumping into major life decisions with each other. They’re best friends, co-stars, and, often, business partners, so it’s bound to get messy.
Ahead of the premiere of Southern Charm Season 10, Austen and Craig are working on expanding their business empire even more together again. They’ve been working on opening a neighborhood pub dubbed By the Way for about a year now in their hometown. So as fans are gearing up for the next round of Southern Charm, Craig and Austen are preparing to put their own stamp on Charleston’s bustling King Street. What could possibly go wrong?
Craig Conover teases a timely opening
Then, Craig recently teased fans via Instagram Q&A about the restaurant’s opening, as later reported by Bravo’s The Daily Dish. Even though he and Austen hoped to get the bar open by summer or fall, Craig claims it will be officially open before the end of the year. “The goal is December,” Craig said. Craig kept his answer to the point, but we’ll have to wait and see if they stick to the deadline.
How convenient – right around the same time that the premiere of Southern Charm is slated to air. We’ve heard that Craig and Austen have tension in the upcoming season. Honestly, we can’t imagine that opening a bar will help alleviate any stress. Have we learned nothing from Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval and Schwartz and Sandy’s on Vanderpump Rules? History repeats itself, and this is just another bromance that can’t help but sway toxic at times.
