Love Island: All Stars Season 2 got the greenlight treatment earlier this year. Now, this Love Island spinoff will arrive on our screens in early 2025. Which, yikes, is only a handful of weeks away. The rumor mills are already starting to swirl, speculating over which stars might be making a return to this franchise.
When this announcement sounded, many viewers felt shocked, as Season 1 received rather impressively meh responses.
One player even left the villa early, exiting right after the Season 1 premiere debuted on our screens. Poor Maya Jama. She has to deal with all of these contestants and their feelings.
Nevertheless, Maya is returning to South Africa as the host for Season 2. But who else might we see starring alongside this stunning master of ceremonies?
Tyrique Hyde from Love Island Season 10 is our first rumored star for Season 2 of Love Island: All Stars
Tyrique Hyde was a fan-favorite star during Season 10 of Love Island UK. Although several ladies turned their heads in his direction (which he reciprocated), this semi-professional footballer went on to find love with his villa partner, Ella Thomas. They placed third in their season, but if it helps, the first-place winners broke apart two months later, so, hah.
As these two quickly learned, the outside world is vastly different. This filmed romance also perished roughly seven months post-filming.
However, Tyrique is said to be joining the cast of Love Island: All Stars Season 2. Therefore, this rumor of a rekindled relationship arrives with a dosage of doubt on my end. Unless Ella is coming back as a plot twist, that is. But, if Ella and Tyrique are truly over, then we hope that this self-reflective, messy man finds his next match in the All-Stars villa.
Sammy Root is the next rumored star for Love Island: All Stars Season 2
Sammy Root entered the villa on Day 4 of Season 10, where he expertly flirted with several women before solidifying his partnership with Jess Harding. Their red flags were flagging, but they still snagged the final grand prize, valued at an impressive £50,000.
As mentioned just above, their romance fizzled out shortly after. Cue Single Sammy, spouting off to The Sun about his willingness to appear back on this franchise. “Never say never” is his motto, but he does have some specifics, as his “type is petite, brunette, and pretty.”
Overall, Sammi is now looking for “a Christmas cuddle,” but “not a Christmas relationship.” Could this be because Sammy is about to take a plane to South Africa to find something real via Season 2 of this All-Stars series? Maybe.
Lucinda Strafford from Love Island Season 7 is single and ready to mingle on Love Island: All Stars Season 2
Lucinda Strafford was an Islander during Season 7 of Love Island. She entered the villa on Day 9, only to be dumped from the island by Day 28. Cheers to the chaos that is this franchise.
No worries, though. Lucinda fared much better in her second showing. During Season 5 of Love Island Australia, Lucinda entered the villa on Day 2. By Day 29, she and her partner, Zac Nunns, were crowned as the runner-ups of their season.
Like many others, Lucinda and Zac parted ways after filming wrapped. Sadly, Lucinda then had her heart broken again, as her new romance with a DJ, Nathan Dawe, also went sour.
Here goes The Sun, coming in clutch with another source, claiming that Lucinda might have her eyes set on another run. “Hopefully, the man of her dreams will be in the Love Island villa, as she wants 2025 to be a new start for her romantically,” this unknown usher of words uttered.
Paige Thorne split from her Season 8 mate and might be back on the hunt for lust in Season 2 of Love Island: All Stars
Paige Thorne has a rough go during Season 8 of Love Island. Eventually, she landed with Adam Collard. However, these two hot messes failed to thrive. Cue their early exit from the island on Day 56, where they remained an item briefly, like some of their predecessors.
But then, Adam (allegedly) began entertaining other women. Cheating is a deal breaker, so naturally, Paige and Adam parted ways. Paige then returned to her regularly scheduled programming, aka her paramedic career, making her relatable AF to the viewing public.
According to The Sun, Paige was supposed to appear in Season 1 of this Love Island spinoff. But the timing sucked, so this plan failed.
But, as this source claims, “the producers are keen to have her back. They think [that Paige] is the perfect addition to spice things up,” they noted. If this casting rumor is true, the chances of Paige appearing in Love Island: All Stars Season 2 remain high.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu might join the cast of Love Island: All Stars Season 2, but we have our doubts here
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu struggled with filming on Love Island during Season 8. She could not poop with the cameras nearby, she joked, while appearing on an episode of Watch What Happens Live. Filled with feces (too far?), Ekin-Sue entered the Love Island villa on day three as a Bombshell. She then won the entire season with her partner, Davide Sanclimenti, whom she stayed with for quite a while.
Sadly, these two parted ways at the start of 2024. But Ekin-Sue remains booked and busy, popping up on series like Celebrity Big Brother and The Traitors. Could Love Island: All Stars Season 2 be next?
The rumor mills say yes. Ekin, however, says no. Ekin is the best source for this tea, but is she telling the truth? Only time will tell.
Whatever Ekin decides, her options are limitless right now.
Gemma Rose Owen and Luca Bish might return to the Love Island franchise with All Stars Season 2
Gemma Rose Owen and Luca Bish became Islanders during Love Island Season 8. Once Luca declared his undying love for this beautiful daughter of a professional footballer, he and Gemma partnered up, and they later were crowned runner-ups of their season.
Their love died shortly after. However, Gemma and Luca are on the rumors list for Season 2 of this romance-based reality television competition series.
Even still, I think we can safely shoot these rumors down, as Gemma herself is doing. Meanwhile, Luca is now (allegedly) dating an Italian model named Giulia Ciancio. Either these two are super happy and not returning to this franchise, or they are working their PR teams like pros, preparing to shock us all with their returns.
Ovie Soko was rumored to appear in Season 2 of Love Island All Stars, but he’s said he won’t join
Ovie Soko is a professional basketball player slash model who starred in Season 5 of Love Island. During his season, Ovie partnered up with India Reynolds. This stunning, highly likable pair finished in third place. But sadly, they were not meant to finish the entire game of life as one, as they split shortly after filming wrapped.
Ovie will not be finding love in Season 2 of this spinoff either. He said so himself on X, the artist formally known as Twitter, penning that he is never going to star in this series, as Ovie is “33 guys. I am your uncle now,” he hysterically quipped, thinking that he is old, as my 44-year-old self did her best not to cry.
Oh well. Good luck to you out there in the real world, Ovie!
And to the rest of these rumored stars, we hope that true love (and a lot of messiness) greets you at the doors of this villa soon, should you return to star on Love Island. All Stars Season 2.
Love Island: All Stars is streaming on Peacock in the US and ITVX in the UK.
