Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Sandoval is moving on.
After spending 11 years on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spinoff, Tom received his Bravo pink slip last week. On November 26, production announced they were replacing the entire cast for Season 12.
But Tom’s pretending not to care that he’s losing his guaranteed paycheck, as well as his business. He claims to be “working on new shows,” but declined to provide any further details.
Tom Sandoval is just relieved not to be “loathed” by the public anymore
It’s been over a year and a half since we all woke up to the shocking details of Scandoval. Now that he’s no longer Public Enemy Number One, Tom’s “feeling good” about himself and his relationships.
He’s no longer afraid to be seen in public and actually feels “happy” now that emotions have cooled a bit. It’s nice to be able to attend events without feeling like everybody loathes him. There are still unresolved issues between him and his ex, Ariana Madix, but he’s “moving forward” with new girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson.
Speaking to Daily Express U.S., Tom hinted about having a new TV project in the works. “I’m just working on new things, focusing on my music, on new shows and just keeping myself busy; exploring that new chapter of my life,” he said. “It’s been really great.”
Attending an event at the place where it all started, Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant, Tom talked about the relief of no longer being reality TV’s biggest villain. It is cool to be here in a much more positive environment,” he said. “Time heals.”
Pump Rules moving forward and Tom’s “music career”
The Pump Rules reboot will return to the show’s roots, depicting a cast of fresh faces scraping by on their salaries as servers and bartenders. The focus will be on West Hollywood’s SUR and TomTom, which is also partly owned by Tom and his BFF, Tom Schwartz. There’s still a chance Sandy could be featured on the show now and then.
But for the most part, Tom wants to work on his dubious “music career” with his band, The Most Extras. Tom’s passion is his music, and he wants to push that career forward. Being on stage at the height of Scandoval allowed him to escape some of the hate and was a great outlet for his mental health.
“When everything first happened, I already had a tour plan, so I had to go,” he said. “I just had to … show up and just fricking do it … I love the band so much because it’s always such a positive, fun, energetic party experience.”
“I’m so grateful to have the people in my life that I do,” he added, “and to be able to move forward.”
“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” Executive Producer LVP said in a statement. “I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”
Vanderpump Rules is now streaming on Peacock.
