Vanderpump Rules fans knew that the end was near, especially after Scandoval. The entire cast was fractured and clinging onto the wooden board of hope like they were Jack from the Titanic. Evidently, Katie Maloney had an inkling that the series that made her famous may be axed and decided to quit the Bravo show months before news broke of its cancelation. Katie has starred in the series since 2013. Fans watched her navigate friendships, marriage, and divorce but for Katie it was finally time to say goodbye.
Katie Maloney had already checked out of Vanderpump Rules
While speaking directly on her Disrespectfuly podcast, Katie dropped a bomb regarding her longevity on Vanderpump Rules. While chatting with her co-host, Dayna Kathan, the Something About Her owner opened up.
Katie noted, “You know — as well as many people close to me — I didn’t plan on returning.” Vanderpump Rules fans weren’t sure what to make of the revelation. Katie continued, “Maybe it doesn’t matter at this point, but I had made a decision months ago after this past season. I mean, I just needed to move on with my life. And this is before we knew the show was gonna be put on pause, before any of that.”
At this point, Dayna interrupted to point out that her friend had made the hard decision after a stressful Season 11 reunion. Katie confirmed the fact, adding, “And I had talked to our producers about it, and I told them my decision on that.” The podcaster admitted she “felt personally ready to move on” from Vanderpump Rules.
Katie told listeners, “Mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, I was prepared.” According to her, she “lived many lives and went through so much on that show, but I don’t know, I just got to a point where I was like, ‘I don’t know if I can live and grow and be the version of myself I want to be on this show any longer.”
You can stream Vanderpump Rules on Bravo and Peacock.
