While most families are gearing up for the holidays, Mauricio Umansky and his sister, Sharon Umansky, have been battling it out in court with their elderly father’s girlfriend.
For years, Eduardo Umansky has been dating a woman named Simin Tabibnia. Mau and Sharon became convinced that Simin was trying to scam Eduardo out of his money. They said she was isolating him from family and friends, and things reached a tipping point when Simin and Sharon got into a physical altercation in the lobby of Eduardo’s building.
Mauricio and Sharon have been trying to win control of their father’s finances and they have a restraining order against Simin. It’s messy, but Mau’s sister just scored a big win in the ongoing fight.
Simin has to pay up and stay away from Sharon
The last time we heard about this case, Kyle Richards and Maurcio’s daughters had been dragged into the drama. They were responsible for helping ensure that Mau and Sharon could become co-conservators for their grandfather.
Meanwhile, Sharon fought with Simin in court over a restraining order. When Simin allegedly bit Sharon and pulled her hair, that was the last straw. She filed for a restraining order, and a court just granted it.
According to In Touch, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge reviewed evidence and testimony and granted a permanent restraining order. She has to stay 100 yards from Sharon.
Additionally, the judge ordered Simin to pay Sharn $32,000 to cover legal fees. So, it’s a full sweep for the Umanskys. They got the conservatorship over their dad’s finances, Simin has to keep her distance from Sharon, and she has to fork over some cash.
Of course, Simin disagreed with the judge’s ruling and didn’t want to pay the legal fees. She called the whole thing “absurd.”
