Everyone knows that you don’t want to piss off Taylor Swift fans. Somehow, the staff at Schwartz & Sandy’s managed to piss off Swifties and Vanderpump Rules fans all in one swoop. That’s a nightmare scenario.
The drama started after Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz’s bar advertised a “Taylor Swift Night” planned for December 13. It was meant to celebrate the pop star’s birthday. When people showed up for the party, they were supposedly turned away by the staff.

When the Toms announced that Schwartz & Sandy’s would be closing at the end of 2024, they encouraged fans to come by and support the business in its final days. People who tried to do that were in for a rude awakening.
The bar posted a flyer advertising a handful of events planned for last week. Friday’s event said, “The Queen of Pop turns 35 and we’re here to celebrate with themed drinks, friendship bracelets, and spinning the hits all night long.”
Supposedly, a bunch of people showed up to Schwartz & Sandy’s that night but were immediately turned away at the door due to an unannounced “private event.” The customers who showed up to support the struggling business were not happy, and they went to The Sun to air their complaints.
Sources told the outlet there were “heated exchanges” between customers and the “rude” staffers at the hostess stand. The staff didn’t even offer an apology, so people are putting them on blast.
“I drove almost four hours to come here just to get turned away at the door,” one customer told the outlet.
Another added, “It seems very on-brand for Tom and Tom to make promises they can’t keep. We’re all fans of the show but this is really messed up and unprofessional.”
This latest blunder for the restaurant comes amid reports that Schwartz felt “abandoned” by Sandoval in their business venture. Now, it looks like their last remaining customers are feeling the same way.
