1000-Lb. Sisters Star Amy Slaton Signs Plea Deal After Shocking Zoo Arrest

Amy Slaton is concluding the curious case of her zoo arrest, which included an attack from the resident camel. The 1000-Lb. Sisters star chose to agree to a plea deal after the September incident. The reality TV star was arrested at a Tennessee zoo during an outing with her two sons, Gage Deon and Glenn Allen.

All of Amy’s antics as an influencer could not prepare fans for the news that she had been reportedly discovered with psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in her vehicle.

Amy Slaton has to complete two years supervised probation

Now, the mother-of-two is agreeing to a plea deal that will see her charged for “simple possession” only. Us Weekly reported that Amy’s legal team submitted the response to the Crockett County courthouse on Thursday.

The threat of jail is off the table, but Amy will still have to complete two years of supervised probation. The 1000-Lb. Sisters star has to pay a $500 fine. Finally, she will have to attend alcohol and drug assessments.

Amy cannot visit the Tennessee Safari Park in the future. However, prosecutors dropped the child abuse and child endangerment charges.

According to a statement shared by the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department, cops showed up to the zoo in response to the camel bite but became, “immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.”

Amy got medical treatment at the hospital. From there, deputies took the self-proclaimed influencer into custody.

Amy was in the company of a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn while on the outing with her sons. Both Amy and Brian were arrested and charged with illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs. Since Gage and Glenn were in their care, there were also two counts of child endangerment.

The duo paid the $10,000 bond. Upon release, witnesses saw them holding hands.

Amy and the father of her children, Michael Halterman, finalized their divorce in September 2023.

The Season 6 finale of 1,000 lb. Sisters aired December 17.
