During Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, poor Sutton Stracke performed a bonding ritual for the cast. However, instead of uniting the group, it fell apart the next morning. Basically, Sutton and Dorit Kemsley got into a screaming match while they were in a Sprinter van. Isn’t that a law that you must argue in a Sprinter? Anyway, several members of the cast have issues with Sutton’s inability to stay consistent.
Sutton Stracke objects to Jennifer Tilly calling her “mercurial”
Erika Jayne has been quite vocal about Sutton. She claimed that she couldn’t have a close friendship with Sutton, stating that their friendship “is at an arm’s length.“
Well, the ladies discussed all things Sutton on the RHOBH: After Show. “We could get a great Sutton. We could get an angry Sutton,” Erika stated. She continued, “We could get anything that’s just, like, different than it was five minutes ago. She’s inconsistent and she doesn’t listen and, yes, I stand by what I said.” And what did Erika say? She called Sutton “volatile” at Kyle Richards’ Denim & Diamonds party.
So, Sutton’s other bestie, Jennifer Tilly, weighed in on Sutton’s temperament. “I do think that Sutton’s very mercurial,” she stated. “Jennifer, we’re supposed to be friends!” Sutton exclaimed while laughing.
Meanwhile, Garcelle asked, “Whose side are you on?” Then Sutton jokingly confronted Jennifer. “Jennifer. We are supposed to be friends. You just called me mercurial,” she said. “And I am one of the only people on this show that knows the meaning of that word!”
Just to help the rest of us out, Bravo flashed the definition of mercurial on the screen. “Mercurial (of a person) – subject to sudden or unpredictable changes of mood or mind.” Instead of mercurial, Sutton came up with a better description. “I would say responsive,” the boutique owner said. She added, “Emotional, responsive, truthful.”
Then Jennifer chimed in as Sutton tried to send her offstage. “This is why we love Sutton. She has many flavors like Baskin Robbins,” the professional poker player said.
Plus, Kyle shared her feelings. “You know, Sutton, I like that she’s sort of like childlike and funny. I see her as someone who is wounded and … I have compassion for that aspect of her,” Kyle explained. “But then, of course, she can go zero to 100 no doubt, like the weed dinner.”
Finally, Sutton defended her actions. “Well, of course, I can overreact. I’m Southern. This is what we do,” the Georgia peach stated. “We overreact to things. Can I be inconsistent? Yes, because when you lie to me, I have to be inconsistent to keep up with your lies.” She continued, “And volatile? No. That came out of nowhere. I think that these girls like to call me names because they don’t like to face the fact that they are liars.”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns Tuesday, January 7 at 8/7c on Bravo.
