The most recent season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shows Dorit Kemsley in her single-girl era. She and her husband, PK Kemsley, are not on great terms as they try to navigate their trial separation. The mother of two has tried her best to keep the lines of communication open, but after a rough few months, she is now stepping out with a new man on her arm. While he isn’t a boyfriend, Javier Gomez might be the BFF that Dorit needs right now.
Dorit Kemsley is stirring the love potion
Leave it to Dorit to stir the pot when it comes to rumors about her dating life. Shortly before Christmas, Dorit took to her Instagram Stories to update fans on how she was expecting to spend her holidays. Even though the 48-year-old is still insisting she hasn’t dipped her toe back into the dating pool, her post got fans talking. Dorit reposted her best friend Javier’s photo, which showed the two cuddled up at the Hotel Chelsea. He simply wrote, “With my baby.”
During an appearance on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, Dorit did address the idea of dating but hinted that she wasn’t ready for that kind of commitment just yet. The Beverly Beach founder shared, “It’s very weird because I try to almost think, ‘Am I supposed to be dating people? Is that allowed? Well, of course, it’s allowed. We’re separated. Is PK dating someone? I think it’s still so fresh. I’m not in the headspace where I think I’m ready or open.” And while she might not be currently dating Javier, he does look like a younger step up.
Who is Javier Gomez?
Javier is 33 and works as a professional photographer. The duo have taken photos together for the last ten years, and their body language doesn’t scream romantic. Born in Panama City, Javier moved to the busy streets of New York City in 2005. According to his biography, he is “a very visual person and since an early age traveling with my parents, then as a flight attendant and living in other countries, I had the passion for capturing those interesting subjects and moments of each trip through pictures.” When it comes to his photography it is all about “creating and bringing emotions out of the observer. Most of the inspiration comes from nature, which is perfect on its own.”
Javier is a man of many passions. He recently released a photography book called Dimensions. He studied at New York University and earned the award for Rising Talent and Ambassador of the Americas by Maison & Objet in 2016. However, perhaps what Dorit finds the most attractive is the fact that he won the title of Sexiest Artist Alive by People Magazine. Now seen as a prominent artist he has had interviews with CNN and NBC’s Today Show, proving he is here to stay whether or not he is on the arm of Dorit.
PK Kemsley will eventually start dating
Dorit doesn’t seem to mind that rumors have started about her and Javier. But her estranged husband, PK, definitely is feeling a certain way. During the same Bravo podcast, PK shared that he was hoping for him and Dorit to focus on their two children. The music manager shared, “We’re focusing on trying to find a new way of living and make sure the kids are as least affected as possible.” But PK is not blind and admitted that time does not heal all wounds.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star added, “There’s always the risk that Dorit will meet someone, I’ll meet someone. There are a lot of challenges and a lot of scenarios that can get in the way of healing the relationship.” With a 15-year age difference, neither Javier nor Dorit have confirmed their relationship. For all fans know it could be a PR ploy to keep both their names in the headlines. It seems, for now, these two are nothing more than really good friends. But as they say, the best relationships start as friendships.
