Welcome back to the Southern Charm Season 10 recaps! Last week, the group celebrated Patricia’s birthday. Craig wasn’t invited, but he was the topic of conversation. Shep, Whitney, and Austen complained that they missed the old Craig. The next day, Austen and Craig had a big fight. When Craig said Austen could swim or leave, he chose the latter. Meanwhile, JT was also mad at Craig, for more legitimate reasons. With Leva’s urging, he decided to confront Craig for spreading rumors. Now, here’s what went down in Charleston this week.

It’s Taylor’s 30th birthday, but she’s not in a celebratory mood. It’s the first birthday without her brother Worth. But she’s grateful for Gaston’s support. However, she cancels her party at the last minute. Madison’s also feeling down, as Brett’s cancer battle, and losing her father to cancer, made this the worst year of her life. Craig and Paige have their own party, though Austen doesn’t get an invite. At that party, Salley drops some bombs about Taylor and Gaston.

Taylor has the birthday blues

Taylor grabs a (delicious-looking) lunch with her mom on her 30th birthday. It’s her first birthday without her brother Worth, who passed away nine months prior. And such a milestone at that. So, she feels more melancholy than anything. Worth always made her day special, including throwing her a big surprise bash when she turned 27. Taylor and her mom are both grateful that Gaston makes her so happy. And for his support at this time. Taylor also tells her mom she plans to throw a big party that weekend. Her mom wants her to do what her brother would want for her, and have the best day.

Craig and Austen are still at odds

Austen is adamant that he didn’t mean to diss Craig. In his mind, he was saying he missed his friend. But he accuses Craig of being unable to handle any criticism. “Craig Conover is living life perfectly, and how dare anybody say otherwise,” he adds sarcastically. Shep also laments that he and Craig will never be as close as they used to be. However, he says he’s not as hurt by Craig as Austen is. He compares their fallout to Shakespeare’s plays… specifically naming Henry IV Part I and Part II.

Craig is still angry at Austen too. Paige and Craig both wish Austen valued his current relationship with Craig more. Paige theorizes that Austen wants to blame her for all his problems with Craig. They both agree that Austen wants them to break up. However, Craig says, “Guess what makes me happy?” “Me,” Paige answers. “Yeah, and your boobs… and your butt,” Craig adds.

Madison is team Paige and Craig. But Rodrigo thinks Craig needs to lighten up and meet Austen halfway. For instance, he could go out with friends occasionally and drink an NA beer.

Craig and Paige throw a party

Taylor shocks the group by canceling her party at the last minute. Craig and Paige take the opportunity to entertain at their house. Craig jokes that they can throw the party for freezing his sperm, much to Paige’s chagrin. He tells Paige she gets his sperm if he dies. But she doesn’t want to have a kid without giving them a father. Instead, Paige jokes, she’ll talk to his sperm and keep it in a jar.

When Austen hears he’s not invited, he calls Craig a “petty little bitch.” It gets worse, as Craig later reveals that he recorded their podcast without Austen the night before.

Craig is over the moon to throw a party at his house, calling this his “dream scenario.” I’m sure it helps that everyone gushes over his house and landscaping. Molly shows up with a penis cake she meant to give to Taylor, which Paige initially says she loves. However, once Molly reads the text out loud, Paige quickly turns cold and says, “I was trying to have a classy party.” Maybe it was too much considering Molly and Craig’s sexting past? “I’ve never actually touched his wiener, so, like, chill out,” Molly says in a confessional.

Madison and Craig commend Paige on her hostess skills. Madison roots for them to get engaged, which we all know isn’t happening.

Molly and Venita’s dating woes

The partygoers are stunned that someone as gorgeous as Molly is still single. In fact, Molly’s only had sex a couple of times in the last two and a half years. She jokes that her hymen might grow back.

As Molly laments being single, Venita confirms that she is, too. Manny didn’t just go to New York for a few months for the Broadway gig. Venita tells Ryan, “he’s not coming back.” In a confessional, she says, “New York’s his dream, Broadway’s his dream, but I was not included in a lot of the plans.” She admits to Ryan that she’s taking it one day at a time. And that her mom is disappointed because Manny is “the only boy she’s ever liked. And I’ve dated quite a few men.” Molly adds, “Girl, same.”

Salley explains her beef with Taylor (and Gaston)

Things were already awkward between Salley and Taylor when they first met. But Taylor allegedly made things worse by telling people Salley is a “hooker.” Salley jokes, “She said high-end though.” Paige cracks back, “Well, that’s nice, like for politicians and stuff.” Paige brings up that Taylor spread cheating rumors about her last year. So, she can relate.

Madison mentions Gaston, and bluntly asks what his appeal is, because, “I personally don’t find him attractive.” Salley jokes, “He can hear you from a mile away.” Just as Madison freaks out that Gaston is at the party, Salley finishes her joke, saying it’s because he has “big ears.” Then giggles, “That was so mean.”

When Paige asks how long Gaston and Taylor have been dating, Salley casually says there was overlap. She claims they spent July 4th together, but he started dating Taylor two weeks later. Salley says they were “pretty hot and heavy” and that Gaston’s “great in bed.” But calling her current man, Andrew, is an upgrade. “Also, Taylor slept with him,” she casually adds. “Salley, way to bury the f*cking lead!” says Paige. In fact, Salley says Andrew helped her get over Gaston as she helped him get over Taylor.

Salley also reveals that Gaston called her the day before, for the first time since they split. She claims he yelled at her and asked her to keep his name out of her mouth.

Rodrigo worries about Taylor

Rodrigo tells Madison that he thinks Taylor canceled the party because she is emotionally spent, partly because of Salley and what she’s said about Gaston. “But what if there’s some truth,” Madison asks. She tells Rodrigo about Gaston calling Salley, which Madison says was “to silence her.” Rodrigo is taken aback that Gaston would call his ex because he heard how toxic they were together.

“This town is like a soap opera on steroids,” Rodrigo accurately states. He doesn’t want Taylor to have a repeat of her last relationship with Shep. He and Madison wonder if canceling that party was Gaston’s call, not Taylor’s.

Shep tries to bring Craig and Austen back together

After the party, Craig meets up with Shep and convinces him to try an NA beer. Shep shows Craig a “really sweet” montage of them (featuring Austen) that he found on the internet. He hopes this will convince Craig to give Austen a chance. Craig thinks they need a break from the podcast so that they’ll be less irritated with each other.

Just then, Craig gets a text from JT to hash things out. Craig is worried this will make things with Austen worse. But he tells Shep he’ll do it. We’ll see how that goes next week.

Southern Charm Season 10 continues Thursdays on Bravo.
