Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen goes way back with former Today show host, Hoda Kotb. He was a favorite on the fourth hour of The Today Show as a pop culture expert, then guest co-host. However, Hoda recently bid farewell to the show that she’s worked on for over 17 years to pursue a new chapter. And of course, Andy recently stopped by Today with Hoda and Jenna to thank her and insult her bracelets, one last time.
Andy Cohen gives Hoda Kotb a heartfelt thank you
During his appearance, in a riff on his “Watch What Happens Five,” he listed out what he appreciated about Hoda. “The courage and strength that you gave me to have my kids later in life. You and I had a very impactful conversation in the hallway at Radio Andy one day,” Andy stated. Hoda replied, “I remember.”
Andy continued, “And you were like, ‘It’s right on time. It’s okay.’ Because I was worried about where I was in my life and my age,” he explained. “And you really set me straight and that conversation was very impactful to me personally and I really thank you for that guidance.”
CNN reported that Hoda adopted her first daughter, Haley Joy, in 2017, becoming a first-time mom. Then, two years later, Hoda welcomed Hope Catherine.
As for Andy, he welcomed his son, Benjamin Allen Cohen, in 2019. Then, in 2022, Andy’s family expanded. He announced the news on social media, writing, “HERE’S LUCY!!!!! Meet my daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen! She’s 8 pounds 13 oz and was born at 5:13 pm in New York City!!!”
There is no doubt that Hoda and Andy will stay in touch. They are such good buddies that Hoda Face-timed him as he hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve show with his bestie, Anderson Cooper. Who wouldn’t want to be friends with Hoda? Wishing Hoda well as she embraces her new chapter!
