It’s almost as if Ramona Singer has a sixth sense for when it’s the perfect time to post something inappropriate. The Real Housewives of New York alum is known for a lack of self-awareness and often being rude. And she’s at it again with an IG story that netizens branded “tone-deaf” in the light of the catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles.
This isn’t the first time she’s posted something controversial. Although one would think her posting doesn’t happen in a vacuum and she would have someone to tell her not to say certain things. But then again, would she be the Ramona-coaster if she didn’t put her foot in it every once in a while?
Ramona Singer shared her good fortune while people in California “have no idea what the day will bring…”
Ramona took to Instagram to show her followers what a beautiful view she had in Florida. She started in selfie mode and then flipped the video to show everyone the gorgeous sunshine on the beach from her oceanfront balcony.
She said, “What a beautiful morning in Florida! What a way to wake up! Look at this view. Mmm, so happy.” She added, “Bright and sunny! Gonna do some work, play some tennis. Beautiful day.”
Then, the icing on top of the tone-deaf cake, on the video, she placed the caption “A beautiful day to wake up to… unfortunately people in Cali have no idea what the day will bring.”
She was referring to the horrific blaze that broke out in the Pacific Palisades in California and wiped out entire neighborhoods and communities. The fire is still burning, and other massive fires have also ignited across LA. This tragedy has left many displaced and unsure of their future.
The IG account Talk of Shame reposted Ramona’s video with the caption, “Wow Ramona. Wow. Tone Deaf much?” Other accounts shared it too and comments poured in about how “No one does tone deaf like Ramona,” “The day Ramona isn’t tone deaf will be breaking news,” and “Ramona will NEVER miss an opportunity to do the wrong thing.”
And they’re not wrong. Ramona has received backlash before about insensitive remarks and rude social media posts.
At the end of the day, her lack of self-awareness is just par for the course. Although it doesn’t make it right. She should have just stayed off her phone that day.
