Tyna Edwards is a badass. This Salt Lake City-based realtor has only been on our radars for a handful of episodes of Sold on SLC on Bravo. Yet, Tyna is already the clear breakout star of this series.

Tyna does not suffer fools lightly. Even still, a few of her costars keep trying her patience. In every single episode thus far, Tyna shuts her haters down, but never in an unkind manner. Instead, Tyna resorts to hard-drawn boundaries and stop-it-right-now callouts.

In addition to her frank yet friendly ways, Tyna is also a phenomenal realtor. The listings she accrues are quite fancy. In turn, her paychecks that follow are less than tiny.

Tyna is also breaking societal norms in Utah, bringing representation upon representation to our screens. For so many reasons, we have fallen for Tyna. So, if this new Salt Lake City series gets a second season, we need Tyna attached, as she is our latest crush on Bravo. Here are our reasons why.

Tyna Edwards keeps it classy on Sold on SLC

Tyna is not the one or the two, so please stop your nonsense with her by three. When Matt Jones allegedly started spreading rumors about her lifestyle, Tyna calmly approached him for a chat. After she inquired about why he was running around town, stressing that she did “not believe in God” and that she also “hates Mormons,” Matt denied her claims.

Matt stood up to leave as Tyna was still speaking. Later, their boss, Jennifer Yeo, popped by for a visit. Tyna explained how awful these rumors were for her relationships and professional contacts. Jennifer then held a mediation between only these two agents, where Matt refused to admit accountability for his rumors spread.

Being a fully grown human, Tyna still agreed to move forward.

In Episode 3, we learned Matt was a frequent flier at the local strip clubs. Matt then ran away from the cameras. Jennifer began to worry about him, so she threw a whole-staff meeting to discuss how her team needed to cease talking about his life-altering secret.

Tyna joined forces with our other favorites, Sarah Martindale and Malaysia Fua, to call out the hypocrisy. Matt (allegedly) spread damaging, untrue rumors about Sarah and Tyna. Yet, Jennifer never publically shut Matt down. Also, Matt did this, so do not blame them for what Matt did in the dark, they demanded.

Still, Jennifer wants EVERYONE to reset. Meanwhile, Matt looked on, smirking. Later, courtesy of a sneak peek, we see Tyna telling Jennifer she might need to walk away from Presidio.

Tyna stands her ground while remaining ethical in conflicts.

Living in an ultra-conservative area like Salt Lake City might be hard for those who color outside of the lines of societal norms. But not for Tyna. In her confessional, we have already learned a lot about her past. And what she has to say has likely resonated with many of her viewers, who sometimes feel alone in their surroundings.

Tyna was married to a man for nine years. Their ceremony took place in the LDS Temple, she explained on air. Halfway through their marriage, Tyna realized that the LDS Church was not for her. Yet, she kept quiet and went with the flow because that is how things get handled in this culture, she explained.

But sitting in this silent, complacent spot was tricky. Thankfully, Tyna had an eye-opening moment brought on by historical truths. Black people were not allowed to hold the Priesthood until 1978, so after a while, Tyna began to realize that this was weird and also not cool.

Her heterosexual marriage failed shortly after. Thankfully, Tyna found love again with her new live-in partner, a female named BJ. She is now free and living her life on her terms. While this might not seem like a big narrative for some, Tyna lives and works in a super conservative area, so her ability to speak up, create changes in her life, and then go on to live her most peaceful, honest chapters yet speaks volumes about her character.

Pettiness and rumors be damned, Tyna is living for herself. And we love seeing the diversity that she brings to the table via Sold on SLC.

When the drama ramps up, Tyna Edwards brings the chaos down a notch with her comedic quips

In Episode 1, Tyna came in hot and honest and hungry, announcing that she is “a Black, lesbian, single mom, with amazing tits, phenomenal cheekbones, [who is] funny, ambitious, [and] clever.”

As this narration sounds, we see the agents of Presidio sitting for a meeting. In the room, an untouched snack plate sits front and center. No one wanted to stand up and partake, minus Tyna. Not giving a damn, she got up and loaded her plate.

Several scenes later, the agents of Presidio attended an open house. An argument breaks out as an uncaring Tyna stands in the kitchen, snacking on grapes and cheese, joking about what a great party this was.

In the following episode, Tyna compared her first lesbian relationship to a common U-Haul-related stereotype within the LGBTQIA+ community. The hiring of a U-Haul brings these partners together quickly, she quips.

In Episode 3 of Sold on SLC, Tyna again confronts Matt for his gossipy patterns. But Matt doubles down, stressing that he did nothing wrong. “The bridge is burnt. You can drown in the water,” Tyna wisecracks in her confessional.

During Episode 4, Matt hightailed it away from the cameras. Sadly, Jennifer wrongly assumed that Matt and Tyna were fighting. This unfair assumption irked Tyna.

Jennifer is “continually in protection mode when it comes to Matt.” She is also “in f*ck you mode with” others, Tyna stated. Matt is lowering his bar, “or pole,” Tyna then joked, breezily lightning up this tense scene like a pro.

As a realtor, Tyna Edwards keeps on winning

The drama in Sold on SLC is high. So high that zero real estate narratives even sounded until halfway through Episode 4, where we learned that Tyna has a long-term project with a developer that will pay her well for six years. She needs this nest egg, so work hard she will, she explains.

In the series premiere, we also learned Tyna has accrued $99,000,000 in lifetime sales thus far. She has only been in this industry for 11 years, so her numbers are incredible. Only Jennifer and Kenny Sperry have outsold Tyna. However, Tyna is creeping close to their numbers, as she desires to build a strong financial safety net for herself and her children.

On Instagram, Tyna often posts reels and photos of her listings, ranging from simple to holy balls in size. This well-connected agent is killing it and bringing home her snack money like a consummate professional agent.

Being Tyna, however, she also creates content that pokes fun at her industry, further supporting our claims that Tyna is that girl on Sold on SLC.

Sold on SLC is streaming on Peacock.
