Kathryn Edwards appeared on the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. That is the same season that introduced us to newbie Erika Jayne. Recently, Erika claimed that her RHOBH co-stars Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais “perform” for the cameras. Well, Kathryn spoke out and defended both Garcelle and Sutton.
Kathryn Edwards said that Sutton Stracke “gets down and dirty”
Kathryn was a guest on the podcast Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef. After David mentioned that Erika alleged that Sutton and Garcelle don’t show their real lives on camera, Kathryn had their backs.
“I don’t agree with that,” Kathryn said. She thought maybe Erika made that comment because the other ladies don’t go as “low” as Erika. “No, because they’re not an *sshole … they’re nicer? No, I don’t I don’t agree with that at all.”
Kathryn continued, “And I think Sutton’s like, I mean, what about the year she was like crying when she was fighting with Crystal [Kung Minoff]? I mean, she wasn’t always, you know, so safe. She stuck her neck out.” Sutton questioning Erika about her estranged husband, Tom Girardi’s legal woes was one of those times. These days, Erika and Sutton still have a complicated dynamic.
“I like Sutton, I think Sutton gets down and dirty,” the RHOBH alum said. “I mean, Sutton sat in the first chair closest to Andy [Cohen] because she was the one. No. Garcelle I could see a little bit, but I feel I don’t think Garcelle’s personality is like she’s just at a different level of communication.”
Kathryn added, “You’re not going to see her ever talk to people the way you know, Erika does where she grits her teeth and curses someone and, you know, and calls them every name. No, no, sorry. No.”
And while Kathryn only lasted one season, she gave props to Erika for lasting nine. “She’s brought it. She’s given, she’s delivered every season,” Kathryn said of Erika.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
