Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty Working Towards Supporting LA Fire Victims

Selena Gomez’s cosmetics brand, Rare Beauty, has recently revealed how they are supporting local organizations to help residents amid the LA fires. Reportedly, firefighters are making progress in containing the multiple wildfires in Southern California. The raging firestorms have unfortunately caused massive destruction in the region, claiming the homes and livelihoods of many. Now, several celebrities and brands have come forward to offer support to those impacted by the blaze.

Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty shared a statement on their Instagram, announcing they have teamed up with organizations amid the damages caused by the LA fire. After expressing their heartbreak over the catastrophe, the brand, which was “born and grown in Los Angeles,” revealed they had spent the last few days focusing on ensuring the safety of their Los Angeles team as well as friends who have been impacted. They added, “We are working with local organizations on additional product donations and volunteering efforts.” 

Rare Beauty further shared, “Together, we assembled emergency care kits with essentials for evacuation centers and have made donations to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and World Central Kitchen, who are on the ground providing immediate aid.” The brand also revealed that they would “continue to support the Rare Impact Fund’s non-profit partners.” Moreover, they would be “providing mental health support to young people—ensuring that now, more than ever, they have the resources they need.”

Rare Beauty’s carousel post included information about several mental health resources to help the locals cope amid the disaster. Besides that, they shared details about volunteering, monetary donations, and evacuation resources. Gomez, too, reposted the many slides of Rare Beauty’s informative post with a series of Instagram stories.

Additionally, the cosmetics company expressed gratitude in the statement, writing, “To all the firefighters, first responders, volunteers, and organizations on the ground meeting the ongoing needs of our community, we are forever grateful for your bravery, selflessness, and commitment.”
