Gabby Windey and Nikki Garcia know a thing or two about toxic men. So, when confronted with Tom Sandoval on The Traitors, they knew to simply not engage. And boy was that the right call.
We’re only a few episodes into The Traitors Season 3, and already, we’re seeing accusations that Tom targeted fellow competitors over his past relationship.
Tom’s inclusion was always going to be controversial. Even Alan Cumming threw some shade in Tom’s direction. And while the derisive reality star met some awesome people, it was clear that nobody was there for his antics, least of all Gabby and Nikki.
The Traitors’ cast “moved weird” when Tom Sandoval showed up
On SiriusXM’s The Nikki & Brie Show, Gabby discussed her predilection for turning off her filter. “Most people go on reality TV watching what they say. You know, they’re very conscious, but I do the opposite,” she said.
Nikki affirmed Gabby’s way of being, but Gabby said, “I probably need to reel it in a little bit, but it’s like, we’re making TV here. I got one chance, but it’s scary that they’re getting the gossipy moments because we were in a corner alone just talking sh*t, which I feel like people will see a lot of, but also like iconic. I feel like setting the tone.”
Nikki agreed. “Totally, right? I mean, good for us that we didn’t want to say hi to Tom Sandoval. I don’t feel bad, and I just remember when we were, you know, all of us get to Scotland early and we’re doing a lot of stuff before meeting each other, so you’re filming things before knowing who’s on cast, so they ask you questions.”
She continued, “‘Who do you want to see?’ Who you don’t want to see, and you don’t know anyone there yet, so I see Tom Sandoval and I do remember how some people moved in the room. In my head, I’m like, ‘They kind of moved weird. Don’t tell me he’s here,’ but I’m like, ‘There’s no way he’d be here.'”
