Ashley Darby went about her divorce in a very unique way. She took her time and made sure she was set up in a new home. The Real Housewives of Potomac star did some negotiating with Michael Darby behind the scenes as well. Finally, the mother-of-two filed for divorce in November 2024.
There was a lot of talk from her RHOP costars about the timeline. But ultimately, Ashley did what was best for her. And to her credit, she was discreet about her love life during the time of the separation. Michael, however, might be less concerned about optics.
Ashley Darby doesn’t necessarily want to “hear about it”
“It’s in the hands of Virginia State,” Ashley said of her divorce on the January 12 episode of Watch What Happens Live.
The RHOP star shares sons Dean, 5, and Dylan, 3 with Michael. Both have tried to put their children first and co-parent in the most successful way possible.
While filming the new RHOP season, Ashley met Josh Kudenburr speed dating with Gizelle Bryant. The two are still seeing each other, but are hesitant to define the situationship.
“He’s a good guy,” Ashley said to host Andy Cohen.
“We don’t have labels at the moment, but we are only banging each other,” she continued.
Andy asked if the real estate mogul was seeing anyone in particular. Ashley responded, “Michael’s in the streets every weekend.”
“People tell me all the time, which I’m happy, go live your life, have a great time, but I hear all about it,” she added.
Most importantly though, is that the parents are “good” with each other. Ashley revealed that they “went from parallel parenting to co-parenting.”
Finally, Gizelle got some praise from her GnA co-founder. Ashley feels like she gets the most support from her RHOP costar.
“She’s been here before,” Ashley said. “She’s like, ‘This situation looks very familiar. Here’s how I handled it. Here’s where I am now.’ So it gives me a lot of hope.”
