Dorinda Medley Now Unbothered by Traitors Exit: ‘The Gays Love Me’

To say that I was excited to watch Dorinda Medley former star of the Real Housewives of New York take on Season 3 of The Traitors is an understatement. Unfortunately, she was murdered on night one! And while she was undeniably upset about that, she’s looking on the bright side and sharing why she’s now unbothered.

Fans were so excited because Dorinda is a fearless force of nature and everyone thought she would go a long way. She is clever and fun to watch, understands British humor, and has prepared all the perfect outfits. Plus who doesn’t want the random freakout in a survivor competition?

Dorinda Medley comforted herself by going to a gay bar and realizing it “doesn’t matter” at the end of the day

Dorinda appeared on Sirius XM’s The Julia Cunningham Show post-Traitors exit to talk a bit about the show and how she’s taking getting murdered first.

“I take it as a compliment,” she said. “No one knew me well enough at that point to take it personally right? So yeah, of course, I hate to fail and I’m incredibly competitive so of course I bawled.”

She shared that she was stunned when she saw the envelope. She could have been pushed over with a feather at that moment due to shock. “I was like, I couldn’t believe it because I had such an incredibly, listen, if nothing else, I had great hopes for content because I am a content creator. I mean, look, I was on for two minutes and we already got some great memes of me on the raft with Dolores.”

She’s not wrong! Dorinda makes good TV and it was a mistake for the Traitors to get rid of her so early. If anything, she could have been a good decoy causing chaos everywhere she goes.

Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. While she was distraught initially, Dorinda is now feeling better about the elimination. She told Julia the secret of her silver lining and how she made herself feel good.

“I went to the wonderful Rise gay bar for Sunday afternoon, and boy, I felt good afterward. I’m like, it doesn’t matter. The gays love me.”

Way to look on the bright side, Dorinda! We’ll miss you at the castle!
